Great staff. Hotel is iideally located. The hotel is somewhat older, but it has been kept up well and is run very professionally. It's a good alternative to the more expensive western brands in the city. And the rooms are bigger.

It's not the hotel, but be mindful that the mosques are close by and if you are not accustomed to the prayers, it may wake you in the morning. Be mindful that they are completing construction. It did not bother me as they started around 9 and ended around 5pm.

The aesthetic on the outside of the hotel was very appealing and helps to easily to identify the hotel (lime green flag). The concierge immediately assisted me with my bags and the front desk staff (all) was welcoming. My room was clean and quite spacious with a safe. The towels and bedsheets were clean and the bed comfortable. There are lamps on either side of the bed for reading. There is a terrace but no seating. The doors provided great sound protection as well. I needed to wash clothes and was provided with a bucket to do so. Cleaning by the amazing staff was done daily. The water can get really hot so be careful. Pay for the breakfast as it is well worth it! Ganale provides a variety of foods and sweet fruits and juice. There is a desk in the room to work, or you can work in the conference room if it is not occupied. PS I'm a black woman solo traveler.

Cons - no currency exchange here as advertised and I needed that so had to find an ATM, which was not easy. Lots of late night people arriving with loud voices and disturbances every night - maybe I just got a bad few of days of it.

Pros - central location, easy walk to most sites and ferry to Goree Island. Big room, great wifi, air con and comfy bed. Nice clean bathroom. Buffet breakfast was good, reception staff very helpful. Price is expensive by European standards but Dakar hotels are expensive so this one is probably better than most. Bar has good evening food. Good soundproofing, and its needed as street in front can be noisy.

A raid anti misquito plug in the room would have been great for peace of mind, but not expected. In fairness, this wasn't a problem during my visit and the room was well kept.

While expensive but European standards, I don't think you'll get a better hotel for your money in Dakar.

Very basic room for price. No view. No drinking water in room, or tea/coffee facilities. Room smelled strong of cigarettes.

This is a very clean hotel in a decent neighbour hood in Dakar. The room and the bathroom is very clean and well maintained. It is close to the Dakar market and you are able to get native Dakar dresses at affordable rates.

Breakfast is a bit blant, it is same breakfast everyday. But not too bad, I think it is normal for francophone countries, they don't have good breakfast.

Location is very good, so many restaurants around. Market is near. Everything you need is near. And the area is pretty clean.
