Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThey told me only about 5 minutes walk to the beach, it took more than half an hour, ha ha! I ended up taking a moto taxi back part of the way (very cheap)...
A great location outside of Cap Skirring. Very peaceful and close to nature, even though less than 10 minutes drive from the town. A nice half hour walk to the beach... I would definitely return. And THE BEST pizza I have ever eaten!

Very good value for money in Kabrousse, a 15 minutes walk to the beach. Nice, simple but comfortable rooms with view on the swimming pool. The huge fromager dominating the lodge is spectacular. Incredibly tasty pizzas and other Italian dishes are served at lunchtime and dinner.

EstoniaNice oasis in Cap Skirring. Although it's a bit far from the beach, it's amazing for resting in the middle of the day. Fantastic food, drinks, bungalows, pool and very nice trees giving you the shade. Walk to the beach is just few minutes and best part of the Cap Skirring beach awaits you.

United StatesNote - the beach is a 10-12 minute walk.
I couldn't have asked for more based on the price. The owner was welcoming, the lodging spacious and the house made pizzas are fabulous. The grounds are charmingly painted with vignettes. It's rustic and a perfect spot off the beaten path.

United StatesMy cabin was dark due to soft lighting, so a reading lamp would be nice. I ate elsewhere with friends, but noticed that prices were indeed rather high for travellers on a budget- room rates were quite reasonable. The short road into the lodging is very dark at night if you're walking in.
I really liked the round design and spacious individual traditional cabins, though not all of the wooden slated windows close properly, which might be a concern for guests who have valuables. Also appreciated plenty of towels, toilet paper and hot water! WiFi was pretty good, too, but do check it is on and running if you have a double sim card system to avoid roaming charges. I liked staying in Kabrousse, which has local flair and is much less hectic than neighbouring Cap Skirring.

United StatesIt's dry season, but guests who mosquitoes bite might want to enquire about protection in the rainier season. It would also be good to clean the outside shower area and basins for cleaning up after the beach or pool. Do carry a torch for returning at night. It's a short but very dark path from the main street to the lodge. I did manage to get to the beach in about 20 minutes, but you need to ask locals where access points are. Lots of residential zones and hotels don't really want you to cross their private property.
I love the traditional round hut, very spacious and cozy at night, even without mosquito nets and some windows that don't close, I saw no insects and slept comfortably. The white cotton sheets were pristine, the pillow soft. Best was the plentiful hot water, towels and toilet paper, much appreciated. I didn't eat there nor did I use the small pool, which looked clean enough. The grounds and swimming pool area are meticulously cleaned throughout the day.

DenmarkThere was a weird smell in our rooms. Also, there was no door between the bathroom and the bedroom. I would have preferred more privacy.
It's a fine place with a really kind and helpful owner plus a great italian restaurant.

FranceIts not by the beach so you will need to walk or take a taxi if you want to enjoy the sea.
Fromager is a really cute 6 hut guest-house led by a Italian&Senegalese couple with a kid. The owners and the staff are really warm and friendly, very arranging. The Italian restaurant is great! Breakfast is basic, huts are clean, mattresses good.

SenegalGiulio and all the stuff are great hosts! They creates a peaceful community in the nature near the village of Kabrousse and not so far from the beach and the city center of Cap Skirring. We loved the amazing Italian food (especially the Christmas buffet😍) and the support during all of our stay. One more positive note: great playlist all night long 🎼

SpainWe stayed with them for two nights in March, we were the only guests by the time. While our stay someone managed to get into our bungalow and stole our money: 90.000CFA's (around 140€). I was very disappointed of how they managed this uncomfortable situation by taking us to a paid ''chaman'' who just told us we were lying. I was expecting more help by the manager/owner. Please take care of your belongings apparently is not safe, so shut windows and door the whole time.
I liked the bungalow and the wide space - they have hot water and comfortable bed
