We were in room 105. Not a very quiet room due to people outside at night and delivery services in the morning. The breakfast was adequate, but not very good in terms of options.

Very nice staff. In the old city. Good directions provided in advance. Very good dinner recommendations. Good sized room. room cleaned each day of our stay. The coffee and coffee service at breakfast were outstanding.

Everything was great

Perfect location right in the old town, but yet easily accessible with public parking only a few meters from it. The staff was extremely kind and helpful to organise a small surprise for the birthday of my partner. The bedroom is very comfortable, cosy and spotless clean. The breakfast was good and fresh. We would definitely recommend this place.

The room was a bit small for the price, but it was just for two nights, and the location more than made up for it.

Directions for arrival aren't quite clear. They say you can park and walk up to get parking info but 'up' is seriously up the mountain so we tried to drive and ended up on a pedestrian path which caused a lot of tension in the car. Folks said 'It happens all the time' but one of us had to back down the pedestrian path and was very unhappy. They seem to have room to park a few cars and it all worked out but "Take the first right" would have been helpful.

It's an amazing location, high above much of San Marino with easy access to the towers. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the valley. It's clean, modern, comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the helpfulness of the staff was terrific.

Shower door leaked a bit leaving floor wet but nothing a towel couldn’t fix!

Great location and so convenient to have parking in their garage (for a fee). Beautiful common area balcony with stunning views.

Very small bathroom and no space near the basin even for a toothbrush.

Location right in the heart of San Marino, you can walk everywhere and there are restaurants nearby - except an uphill walk and/or several stairs, tho. Comfortable room and big enough for three people.

Sometime i can hear neighbour’s noise but it’s still tolerable

I want to start by saying thanks to the hospitality of Hotal Rosa Staffs especially Paolo who assisted me with the late night pick-up and made me feel welcome. Not just Hotel Rosa, the entire city made me feel welcome (restaurant, stores, etc). The room was classic, with (i think) renewed bathroom, which i love! The bed was comfy, room was tidy and clean, warm water works perfectly great, and the wifi also works well during the stay. The breakfast was also nice. That being said, i couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to those who wants to visit San Marino!

Great position in San Marino with the bonus of parking (extra fee) at the door. Benefit of staying a night is that the town clears of day trippers in the late afternoon.

Rosa – I wonder how the * system works? Is it a regulation or self-imposed? Rosa is a 3-star, but the hotel I stayed in the previous night was a 4-star. Rosa was better. The hotel offered perfect arrival instructions for the hike from the bus station to the property. It is a bit of a hike with a bag. Some steep and some gradual uphill walking, about 15 minutes. Room was clean and comfortable and of sufficient size for a solo traveler (this room had a double bed, but two suitcases would have been very tight). Bathroom was sufficient. The furnishings were all in good shape. Breakfast was sufficient (7-10) with barista made coffees. Walk back down to bus stop was about 10 minutes. Also, all of the staff was friendly and helpful. Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. And most importantly, this property was at the highest elevation of San Marino City. The front desk agent gave me a map of the area, pointed out directions for attractions, and provided a list of recommended restaurants. This was appreciated. While traveling, I do not eat at restaurants where I order by picture. The recommended restaurants were clearly marketed to tourists (and those may have all been great restaurants). In my evening walk, I found, by chance, Ristorante Pizzeria Osteria Agli Antichi Orti, which is about a 10-15 minute walk. It is located in a neighborhood. The joint was fairly busy, but had a table for one, in the older section of the restaurant. While there may have been some Italian tourists present, there were many locals present because the owners seemed to know a lot of the patrons. The beer was cold, the food was delicious, and I ended up eating dinner there two nights in a row.
