How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I was hoping for a view of the surrounding area and a patio. There were small ants in the room and very poor television reception.
The room was spacious in a nice building in the historic little village. Wifi worked very well

The reception is only manned for 90 mins each day which meant we never saw any other person during our stay. The bar was closed and there was no hotel atmosphere at all. Our room was spacious but a little tired with a stained armchair and a shower screen with blackened silicone.
San Marino is a 15 minute drive away but is 100% unmissable. Spacious and quiet. Good communication with owner for remote check in and check out. Free parking. Four poster bed was a nice touch as was the painted ceiling in the living area.

LOCATION. We walked for three hours to hotel. It’s difficult get to the center 3 hours, and after get to the hotel 3 hours. In booking was indicated that to the center 4 km, but in practice 8km. In my opinion, hotelier must warn their customers about real location and send route to hotel, because, as it happens, from center to this village bus driving and after our complaint to the owner we got response about the bus schedule, because on internet I didn’t find this information. Not every customer can be able to rent a car. And if you want take a taxi, you can’t do this, because taxi doesn’t go to this village. UNRELIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT LOCATION

Checkin 5:30pm - just too late. Room hot - it was during Italian heatwave & aircon was old, vents need a clean. Property is out of the way, need car. No cafes or restaurants within walking distance. In room pod Coffee €.70 & Tea €2.5 No breakfast - advertised as between 7:30-9:30
Property photos need updating. Simple access info via WhatsApp by video, not sure why as it simple door code system.

The space was overall generous but not fully utilised to the comfort of the guests. The four poster bed took up all the space in the one room and in the other, which was big, there was not furniture you could relax in. A round table with upright chairs and then an austere small lounge and ditto armchair. Maybe chosen for looks rather than comfort. We appreciated the adjoining large terrace, but again the comfort was not really there either. A few flower pots maybe. Anyway all very adequate but not really what one expects from a boutique hotel. Other reviewers have commented about the charging of coffee and I agree with that. Keep a kettle and sachets of coffee and tea in the room for free but if you want to include a sort of coffee machine don’t expect the guest to pay for it as you don’t offer breakfast.
It was a nice quiet location and we liked being out of San marino town itself. The bed, including linen was great and we really appreciated having a terrace. The information regarding check in was very good.

* water was flowing under the shower, bathroom became a pool. * heating system was not working and evenings were cold. We were freezing in room. * they put paid tea and we wanted to drink but there was no water at room to boil and also there was no cattle. * I booked room with breakfast, you can check also theybare saying breakfast their page, they sent comfirmation about there is no breakfast. Also put some paper inside room and there was written you will have the breakfast at your room. I didn't like and I don't suggest to anyone
There is just one thing that I liked hot water.sorry but the facility was too bad. I'm really wonder who gave this score to the hotel!!!

It’s in a sweet small village but not really near anyplace good to eat. It’s only a 10-15 minutes into San Marino city and you may do better to drive there to have dinner.
Ivan the owner has furnished it with love and a good eye. I had the room with terrace and it was spacious and very comfortable. Good value for money. Ivan could not be more helpful.

The pictures made this place look superb with robes and comfortable looking, but when we walked in our room it was plane, not updated, only one chair, no robes, and you had to pay for tea and coffee in room. Jet tub was nice but not really meant for two people. Beds weren’t comfortable.
Guy who checked us in was very informative, spoke English well. Good place to stop in for evening to check out nearby San Marino Castles. 11 min drive to castles. Parking was easy and free. Lots of trails to run/hike you can get to by walking from hotel.
