We rally enjoyed our stay at the La Grotta Hotel. The staff guided us for the more convenient public parking before our travel, so after we parked our car, reaching the hotel was fast and easy. The hotel is located in an old building, but is nicely managed and modernly furnished. It's in the heart of the city, so reaching the sights, cafes, bars and restaurants is easy. Our room was on a higher floor. It wasn't too spacious, but featured an great balcony with an amazing view. It was clean, bright and nicely furnished, the mattress and the pillows were comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us a San Marino card, that gave us discounts for the tickets for some of the main sights in the city. The breakfast was a bit of limited and mediocre, but served its purpose, as the coffee was actually good.

The hotel is conveniently located in a central location inconvenient for transportation. The staff accommodated many last minute requests as we were in search of family and relatives of ancestors still living period with the help of the hotel. We were able to find a 98-year-old cousin of the family. I was guiding.

Location of San Marino Old Town is the place to be. Loved walking through the old lanes and streets. Amazing view of The Appenine mountains from our balcony. Delicious breakfast & good choices. Staff were lovely and we slept well too. Fantastic shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Perfect for a romantic getaway & soo peaceful.

Russia8 ReviewsExceptionalClean soundproof rooms, cozy interior, nice stuff and great location almost at the top of the mountain! Nice breakfast, but don't expect much. Hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, so if you travel by car use P6 (small, but near the hotel) or P7 (bigger, but a little bit far) parking. It's hard to find a free spot during the day, but things get better in the evening. Hotel provides 24h parking ticket for half of the price.

It is in the centre of the old city. Proximity to many restaurants and shops is excellent. The hotel is comfortable and functional. It is quiet from street noise. The continental breakfast is a balanced spread.
