This won't be an issue with people in a car, but the nearby stores and restaurants are a kilometre away.

My bed in the dorm was extremely comfortable. For someone hiking the Via Dinarica, it was something I really appreciated. I really loved the charming characteristics of the place too. There were not a lot of guests, so it was nice and quiet.

The only downside would be for those who want to rent a car, since rental cars are not an option in this vicinity at the moment. If you take a taxi from Ljubljana to Ars Viva it costs about 140 euro, but the bus will cost you about 6 euros.

Location is almost two hours away from the Capital. To get from Ljubljana to Ars Viva in Loska Dolina you can rent a car, or book a taxi from the airport which is what I did. Another option is to take a bus from Ljubljana to Podcerkev. In Ars Viva I rented an electric bicycle which was a fun experience. For breakfast we had a buffet of fresh food and drinks. My room had a lovely view and was well kept, which can be said about the whole property. There were no issues with the WiFi, and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, which added positively to my stay. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

A good location, clean and comfortable. Small bathroom and shower but good value for money. There was a good choice of breakfast stuff and frozen pizzas and lasagne in the freezer, we had a couple of pizzas as we were travelling on bicycles and didn't really want to cycle back to the town. It was a good pizza too at a reasonable price. The staff were not around at check-in but the online process went very smoothly, we soon the manager at breakfast and she was very helpful.

The only thing I didn’t love about the place was that the staff were largely absent. They were quick to respond to messages via the Booking app and when we managed to track them down they were very pleasant.

Check-in was very easy and flexible. I didn't see the dorm, but our room was a good size with plenty of space to store our luggage. Everything was really clean, and we really enjoyed breakfast.

Top floor dorm was very hot due to being right under the ceiling, but I stayed there during a heat wave, so it won’t be like that all the time.

Hosts always responded quickly. The hostel is very modern and well equipped.

- Shared room is located on the highest floor and doesn’t have AC which result in very high temperature there during the summer. With two open windows it’s okay during the night, however it’s not advisible to have them open thorought the evening because of mosquitoes

Great lunch package. Thoughtful to offer frozen pizza. Incredibly helpful host who organised transfer on short notice. The interior is cosy and well chosen. There were cute animals we could watch from our window.

The breakfast was great, lots of choice and the host made fresh pancakes. The room was very cosy and to sleep in a barn of some kind was a great experience. Everything was superclean. Parking was free. Staff was lovely. Added bonus was the dishwasher! Really happy with my stay.
