We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were lucky to find this hotel, it was recently completely refurbished and the attention to detail is immaculate. Ribnica is a small medieval town full of surprises, and Vila De Casa is a small boutique hotel, also full of surprises. Quality of the refurbishment is very high, and everything 'just works', so rare in today's hotels. This is a reflection on the owner, a former employee with the Mayfair Hotel in London and the Bankside Hotel also in London, who has taken the attention to detail of those hotels, and brought it here. I think it will be extremely successful, we really enjoyed our stay here
