Amazing area in a perfect location

We really enjoying staying in Vila Bled and we liked almost everything about here: the location, views to the lake, food, boat trips, hospitality and many more. We also had a dinner here for our special weekend,. Only course meals based on local cuisine are available and it can be more expensive than the restaurants in town, but we were so glad we ate here. The food was incredible.

We would have loved it if the private beach was open (only from June apparently), but do appreciate that we probably have an unusually high tolerance for swimming in cold water. And if I could improve one thing it would be the ambience in the dining room at night: if they dimmed the lights, put out some candles and chose a less 90s classics playlist it would be perfect. But these are very much small things and overall this was one of my favourite hotel stays ever.

The location is extraordinary: right on the lake front with a view of the island (we even had a view of it from our room) and rowing boats so we couod explore. The decor is beautiful in a sort of lovingly upkept old world glamour way. And the food - both dinner and breakfast - was delicious. Being able to eat on the terrace and look out over the lake was very special. All in all, extremely good value for money.

Housekeeping woke us up every morning despite 'Do not disturb' Bar only seems to be functional if requested, might change if visiting on season

No air conditioning, but there are fans in the rooms.

The view from my third floor balcony was outstanding! Be sure to eat dinner at the hotel. The food is amazing, and sitting on the terrace was incredible. An hour in a rowboat was included with the room. We had a great time rowing on the lake and visiting the island with the church. The room was comfortable, but be aware that there is NO air conditioning. There is a fan, which helped, and luckily we were there in September when temps were in the 70s. My husband enjoyed the hot tub. Bled Castle is nearby and interesting to visit. Overall, highly recommend!

Loved the property, and the view was the best on the lake. We had a lake view room with balcony, which is worth a splurge. Also, the breakfast was delicious with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was very helpful.

Heat wasn’t turned on yet and it cooled off a lot while we were there. We ate dinner there one night and restaurant was almost deserted.

amazing staff. Our view was superb (the lovely ladies who checked us in even moved our room for us so we had a better view, since that was really important to me.) Breakfast was gorgeous. Private swimming area was amazing. I wish i could stay forever. Had the best massage in my whole life. I loved the location--it was in a quieter area of the lake. You get free boat renal as well, and parking. Once you add up the amenities, it's actually a really good value. Interesting history of the hotel as well!

At this price one should at least expect a good shower. The bathroom in our suite looked original. The bath was very deep and hard to climb in and out of, with a new shower head rigged above it. The shower head wouldn’t stay in place and had to be held up with one hand while washing with the other. An elderly or disabled guest could not manage this situation. I informed the receptionist and he seemed to take it on board. Room 101 fyi. Ironic! The dining room is very formal and expensive but the quality of the food is not quite there

The reason to stay at this hotel is the view across the lake and the history of the building as Titos county house. It is very grand but not modernised, and perhaps it shouldn’t be. Breakfast was excellent with one of the best views in Europe.

Reception staff generally ill-informed. Asked for tea bags and milk on day one, still waiting at time of departure. Reported faulty lock on gate, reception staff told us we were mistaken... Happened daily, staff regularly fixing it. King-size bed made up of 2 singles, not ideal for a romantic trip.

Lovely food, location, hotel building very nice, gardens well cared for.

All was good except No AC in room but did have a ceiling fan & they were more than happy to provide us with a stand up fan.
