Lovely couple owns the hostel. They were super helpful and friendly. They helped us: - plan other stops we could visit on our way back to Ljubljana the next day - find a nice restaurant for that evening - and plan the best path to walk on the nearby river trail through Vintgar gorge. The suggestions were great and we loved chatting with them :) The area is also great and it was only a short walk to the Vintgar gorge in the morning.

The best hostel I’ve stayed in! The location & DELICIOUS with gorgeous nature all around it. The beds are comfortable and there are no more than around 20 guests at a time which makes it feel very homely 😊 the biggest highlight are the owners. They’re hands down amongst the most lovely, down to earth & generous people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting!!! You guys are absolutely killing it and I’m so excited to see your business flourish! I will never forget my time staying here & cannot wait to go back again!

It was the best travel experience ever. Ryan and Katia are super nice people and you will feel like home at their house. I will miss our chats and amazing breakfast. The place is in a beautiful area so there are many opportunities for hiking trips or just to chill by the river. I am looking forward to coming back soon!! 🤍

I loved the warm welcoming of the owners, they were super helpful and generous! Super dog friendly which was a big + for us. They got an incredible spot by a river with a big garden, a bbq and even a campfire! Everything there is setup to have a great time !

Matt and Katja were amazing hosts, so welcoming and willing to answer any questions about attractions and transport etc. Lovely people! Breakfast was good, and a well stocked kitchen to cook yourself. Everywhere clean. Plenty of places to chill, including hammocks and sofas outside. Also nice to be besides the river, but the water is very cold. Nice quiet location in a village in the hills near Lake Bled and Vintgar Gorge.

Nothing that bothered me.

The hosts are the stars of this very nice and chill place. Ryan and Katja will make sure you have the best time. They were very helpful to us in our stay, because of them, our teip was less stressfull. Breakfast was delicious and loads of variety. Everyday a difrent fresh baked cake by Katja was my to go to. The place is well connected to bled and with grocerie store nearby. Also a very lovely restaurant with slovenian food.

Everything was simply perfect !!

Rayan was incredibly nice and helpful ! He is really a very kind person and extremely helpful. I checked in very late as my bus got late unexpectedly, so he stayed there waiting for me to reach and I even got surprised finding him in the bus station waiting to guide me as I was alone and it was dark over there. His wife is super nice too and was assisting me and briefing me about the area better than one guide I got later and for whom I uncessary extra paid 😅.She provided me with a map, area description, and she Was helping with pleasure. U will not feel that she is doing it by obligation. She really does is with a lot of love. They were very welcoming and available every min u will require their help. It was really a very beautiful place to stay, clean, well organized, confortable and PERFECT !!!! I really HIGHLY recommand it ! A lot of love to this couple 🧿❤️❤️

Absolutely everything: it starts from one of the most generous hosts and their beautiful villa near a river where the rippling sound of the water makes you fall sleep. The hosts are the main gems here , everything was very clean , comfortable. The breakfast was top notch , I would not forget the homemade Zucchini bread by Katia. During my last days, I was relocated to a room which had even better view of the river and I could hear the sound of it all day. All the hikes I did there are absolutely memorable. I know for sure where to stay next time.

The wifi was a bit spotty.

I highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers and others who enjoy nature and want to get away from tourist hot spots. The hosts Ryan and Katya have worked hard to create a comfortable, relaxing, and affordable "home away from home" in a beautiful location. The hostel is spotless and cozy, with large rooms and plenty of space to lounge around inside and outdoors. The kitchen is well equipped and guests also have access to fresh vegetables and herbs growing on the property. Ryan and Katya made sure that I felt comfortable on the property and offered great advice for exploring the area. I traveled without a car and had no issues using the bus system and my own two feet to get where I wanted to go. The other travelers I met at the hostel were also very kind, friendly, and down to earth.

The RiverSide chill hostel felt like coming home. The owners were fabulous and went above and beyond to make my stay unforgetable. Never experienced such a good atmosphere in a hostel. The beds were very good in my opinion, showers and toilets were always clean and the shared kitchen was well-equipped.

Nothing to do with the hostel, but some parts of the road don't have pavement or public lighting so just be careful and carry a flashlight if you're coming back to the hostel on foot from the restaurant/grocery shop/etc. after dark.

What a special place and the hosts Katja and Ryan are definitely responsible for that. A typical Slovenian house transformed into a chill hostel is definitely the best option for a property with such an amazing location. It is perched above a river so you basically take your breakfast (which is delicious - especially homemade banana or zucchini bread, and versatile) and then sit in a long chair or in a hammock and dip your toes in the chilly river. Morning perfection! The rooms are comfortable and have everything dorm rooms usually have (lockers, storage, etc.). It's about a 10 minutes' drive from Bled but as I avoided that place, it was perfect to spend 2 days away from the buzz on the lake. Visit the Honeybee trail and taste the local honey, go to the Vintgar Gorge, or just spend the most chill afternoon watching the river flow with a great book in the shade of the hostel's garden. I'd definitely recommend this place. Your GPS might get confused on the way there like mine did, but it's worth driving along narrow village roads to get to this place.

Absolutely amazing stay. Ryan and Katja are some of the nicest hosts and people, and have setup the place so well. Everything is clean and comfortable, and the place is in such a beautiful location facing the river. The chairs and hammocks to relax outside and firepit were such a good option! And to top it all off, the best breakfast we've had whilst travelling in Europe.
