How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We loved this hotel! It was beautiful with very friendly staff, beautiful rooms and so close to the river! We walked all around the city but could always find our way home from the river! Excellent!

the "non-stress" mattress was not too comfortable
A great stay that started with a communication with the hosts: we were coming late and they made sure that we had a convenient "online" check-in. The room is modern and clean, has a kettle and a fridge. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous!!! There are a couple of parking spots in front of the hotel, but the chance to get them is small, however there is a large parking just around the corner.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about my stay here, everything was perfect.
The breakfast was amazing, the location was perfect. Right next to some popular cafes and I could easily get everywhere on foot. The room was quiet and cozy with a mini fridge & kettle and a very comfy bed.

No heating in the room, or no worked. On the booking page there is stay they have parking, but when you book, you het the massage that you have pay for parking 16€. I think this information should stay in the booking page

Only thing I did not like was when the cleaning service opened our door WITHOUT knocking. That was really uncomfortable :( It was the day we were leaving but still had more than a hour until check out. Maybe let them know to wait until the guests are gone.
This hotel.. where do I start? We LOVED it! The bed was super comfortable, there was no noise coming from outside. The breakfast was exceptional, delivious local selection. Location was great, really close to the center.

The hotel is located near the city centre in a walkable distance to all the must-sees in Ljubljana. It has parking spots for guests which are payed separately and should be reserved in advance, but it is still very convenient if you are travelling by car. The staff was very welcoming and nice to us. The hotel room was clean and had all the things one would need. We didn’t have breakfast, as we were staying for only one night and had to go early on the next day, but as far as I know it should be very rich and foremost - delicious. I would definitely recommend a stay at hotel “Mrak”!

The bathroom had a really bad smell after taking a shower, coming from the tubes of the bath floor. Could not go away during the night.
Really nice Hotel in a nice location, 5-10 mins from the city center, 20 mins from the Castle. Services are perfect, staff really kind, complementary fruits and juice at the entrance. The breakfast is really nice, a lot to choose from (sweet and salty also).

Great stay, the cleaning feel a bit short, found hair's in the shower and they weren't cleaned on the second day even though house keeping came to my room. I only stayed two nights.
The breakfast and location were great. The staff was very friendly.

Fantastic location. Great breakfast. Wonderful city stay. Hotel was much, much nicer than expected. Very comfortable. Great staff throughout. Really good staff. Good bathroom and shower, towels. Quiet, but just a short walk from everything. What a fine Christmas / New Year’s !

Beds are really comfortable, and the heating inside the room is great. The rooms is so warm. Stuff is so kindly. The brebreakfast is excellently served with a dose of positive surprise.

Only 5-6 parking spots, but its near center so probably not easy to get much more.

Rooms are not large however sufficient
The hotel is located 5 minutes from the very center and the most important sights. The rooms are clean, the breakfast in the restaurant is excellent, there is an option to choose a dish from the menu so that it is warm and fresh. All meals are prepared with good quality products (the hotel even has eggs from a friendly source!). This hotel deserves more than 3 stars!

Excellent designed hotel in the centre of town.The reception girls were great,kind and helpful.The design and the atmosphere were very good Totally clean everywhere. The breakfast Excellent. Nothing! It was a great experience for a solo traveler.
For a three-star hotel I was extremely impressed by Hotel Mrak! It was very clean, very comfortable, very quiet, very close by foot to the Ljubjana riverfront area, and the staff was exceptional! Speaking of exceptional, their daily breakfast service just can’t be beat! 4-5 star hotel quality!
