We enjoyed our visit to Hotel Planinka, most likely the best accommodation in Ljubno ob Savinje. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean. The owners (or staff) are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is truly 5* - eggs made to your liking, decent selection of meat, cheeses, bakery, sweets, local products (the famous Savinjski želodec, yoghurts), pancakes, fruit... Parking in front of the house is free, there's space for safely storing your bikes, and the bells of the church next door are fortunately quiet at night. There are several restaurants or pubs within walking distance.

The location serves as a good base to explore logarska dolina, velika planina and kamnika bistrica. The hotel is well maintained and the village is extremely charming.

The village is convenient for the beautiful Valleys of Logarska Dolina but has limited appeal otherwise unless you are into fly fishing.

The hotel was great! It was immpecably clean, the beds were greaf, breakfast was plentiful and with great ingredients (they make eggs according to you liking - I had a great omelette!) and the stuff were very kind and professional! However, the highlight of our stay was the gentleman working at the reception and the dining hall! He was extremely kind, attentive, friendly and helpful with great advices about how to visit and what to do at Logar Valley! Thank you very much, we'll be back!

our room ( #3) faced the Main Street and was noisy with traffic, loud talking from bar patrons and people in the parking lot across the street. it was also too warm for me with only a window to try to control temperature… so it was either be hot or listen to noise.

The owners and staff were great and very helpful . Breakfasts were really good and plentiful. The hotel rooms and common spaces were sparkling clean. The food in the restaurant in the evening was artful and delicious.

Ljubno is a little bit far from the main attraction of the area (as far as we understood) - Rinka waterfall, 40 minutes drive. It takes several minutes until the water in the shower heat, but when they heat they are very good.

The room is big, cozy and comfortable. We had a lot of room for us with the baby crib in the room. Shower is big and good. I think we were the only guests but still the breakfast was big and full, we really enjoyed it, also my vegan wife found what to eat and was very satisfied.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Building is very nice, rooms are impressive and polite personnel. The restaurant is amazing, we had the best lamb chops paired with a great wine choice. Breakfast was very good as well.

Comfortable nice and clean room with a balcony. For dinner you can choose between the menu of the day (3 courses) or the degustation menu of 6 courses (which we chose) and it was excellent! Best dinner we had during our 2 week stay in Slovenia. Staff was very friendly and parking space is available in front of the hotel. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Not enough facilities for a 4* property, missing some bar and common are and some activities for the children. Maybe a little playground would come nice. The hotel is very close to the church so be ready for a lot of ding donging :) Also, darker courtains would be a good idea.

Perfect location for exploring Slovenia, staff is super nice and the room is super clean. Food was ok. Ljubno is a nice little village with a nice natural promenade by the river bank.

Room Location: very noisy. Lot of traffic, lot of trucks in front of the room window, from early morning hours till late evening. Combined with constructon works on the building accross the street. View: to the local supermarket, parking places and construction works. Availability of front desk personnel: hard to get them on the phone from the room. Limited parking spaces. No shower gel refill after room cleaning. In general: value (and experience) per price was not in the range of 4 star hotel.

Friendliness of the staff. Accomodation - room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.
