The location was stunning and felt like a little piece of luxury. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, consistently going above and beyond for their guests. The daily breakfast was also incredibly delicious. On one of the days, we had an early tour, and they provided us with a packed breakfast to take with us. We had an amazing time and both agreed that this was our favourite accommodation we've ever stayed at. Thank you April1550 for making our time in Ljubljana so special! We will definitely be back!

Exceptional and very healthy and delicious breakfast with all local and homemade items. Just loved it! The owner/hotel manager Natasa has a lovely way with the guests and we really enjoyed our conversations with her. She's running a fantastic hotel - highly recommend staying here!

There’s nothing that I don’t like about the property.

What I liked most about April 1550 Boutique hotel is the aesthetics. You can see from the moment you walk in their attention to detail. My room was super clean with an airy decor. Staff were so kind and helpful, from check-in to check-out. Breakfast not only was delicious but beautifully presented. I had an early morning tour departure and they packed me a wonderful breakfast to go.

A beautiful old house with the most tasteful decor and furnishings. It was immaculately clean and homely. Natasa and the April1550 Team make you feel like you’re in your home away from home. It was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever eaten. I was so glad I was able to stay here and would re-book in an instant! I was only sad I couldn’t stay for longer.

The moment we stepped into the reception area and the kind welcoming greeting we received was the beginning of a truly special home away from home experience. We rested in a lovely inner garden with a refreshing drink while the room was given a few final finishing touches. From this moment on every day was an experience that we will never forget. Quiet, great location for exploring on foot, closed to car traffic AND at the base of the trail to the stunning views of the castle surrounded by coffee shops restaurants and a short distance to the river walk. APRIL1550 checks off all the boxes. Breakfast was a stunning experience with food sourced locally, specially prepared baked treats by the in house chef and homemade condiments. The attention to detail was obvious on every aspect of this boutique hotel. It left us feeling well taken care of and sad to leave. ,

Wonderful location in the old town, a useful 2 mins away from the hustle and bustle. Superb standard of hotel and accommodation. Wonderful, healthy breakfast with really good coffee. Natasa and team were kind and helpful. A perfect little paradise in a great location.

A really beautiful hotel - lovingly renovated by Natasa. Every little detail brilliantly thought out and locally sourced cratmanship really make this a pleasure to stay in. Room was lovely and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was something else -Alenka produced the best granola I have ever had and again all the jams locally made and delicious. Many lovely pastries and great coffee. It’s in a great location

We ABSOLUTELY loved this property. The design, welcome, warmth, details, space and location was perfect. The breakfast was just out of this world - we haven’t had better anywhere else in the world. Our host Natasha was so lovely, friendly and welcoming. She gave us lots of tips and was especially kind with our little toddler :) we will definitely be back

It's hard to overstate how excellent this hotel is. It is one of the best, if not the best hotel we ever stayed in. It is certainly the hotel that made the most positive difference for our experience of a city: Natasa and her staff give her guests a wealth of individual attention; they helped us understand the city, shared experiences about living and traveling in Slovenia, gave us first-hand insight into the city's recent history and current assets and challenges, and made our time in Ljubljana a lot richer and more intimate as a result. In terms of its services, the hotel is impeccable in every imaginable way. It is as beautifully designed as the photos suggest, and Natasa has given it special touches I had never found anywhere else. For people who like to read, the hotel has a tastefully curated collection of books placed everywhere, including bedrooms. The books are picked by a reader for readers, rather than just ordered by bulk for decorative purposes. Breakfast starts at 8:00 AM, and it consists of a wide variety of local products procured locally, as well as fresh cakes and dishes prepared right there by Alenka. You will be a two-minute walk away from the city's most lively street and beautiful riverfront. What makes this place so special is that it is a family-owned business with a vision: Natasa and her husband are frequent travelers and decided to create the hotel they wish they had found on their travels. The result is a marvel that I cannot recommend more highly.

The only thing I would have like better to be is for the bathroom not to be separated from the room so although it was just mine it was not that much convenient to get out of the room 3 steps down and up to get to the bathroom. For younger people I presume it is not a problem at all but for us older using it during the night it might be.

Everything was just superb, the landlady in particular, caring, kind, smiley, helpful, generous, sharing, making sure that her guests are satisfied. It is obvious that she loves her job and does not do it just for money. Thanks a lot Natasa.

I cannot fault the hotel in any way.

Beautiful boutique hotel, with wonderful staff. Bedrooms were large, stylish and comfortable. Location is close to everything but not noisy. A lot of special touches. Breakfast is divine - lot of choice, delicious and healthy.
