Impossible to sleep because of the big noise, loud music!!! until the 2 a.m. We had to wake up early in the morning at 5 a.m because of our fly, so we couldn't sleep! :-(

The position is good because very near to the Souq and Corniche zone, and very impressive to take picture to Doha skylines. We just stayed for 1 night waiting for the fly departure the day after. Our scope was to have a rest and to see something representative of Doha. For this motivation the position was perfect to spend few hours. The room is very big and it would have been comfortable without excessive noise until 2am, due to loud music, perhaps coming from the upper floors of the hotel itself and from the surrounding area. Impossible to rest!!

There is a club on one of the top floors of the hotel, so in the evening there is a long queue for the elevators. The hotel itself smells of tobacco, which may be annoying for some. At night I was cold even under the covers.

We only came for one night. On the plus side: they upgraded our room category for free, gave us a non-smoking half suite (and then I remembered that in some countries you can still smoke indoors), they helped us order a taxi for 5:30 in the morning, and they also organized an early breakfast for us at 5 am, which was very valuable.

The bed and linen were a bit uncomfortable.

The location is fantastic once you work it out. You can walk to the sea, to the Islamic Museum of Art and to the National Museum. The room was huge and the television service was good. I had a sofa and comfy chairs and a table, plus a desk. I had a bath and a shower. Breakfast had a magnificent selection of eggs cooked in front of you, cereals, salads, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast and sweet pastries, beans and hash browns and other things of Arabic style.

The noise from the clubs and pubs inside the hotel was pretty disturbing. The pool is pretty small and there was no heater for it, my kids couldn't use it because it was too cold. Also, you would expect more from a 4-star hotel.....

The rooms were quite big and clean. The breakfast was decent and the location was great.

The perfume and oud smell was overpowering and not pleasant. They have a perfume counter in the lobby right next to the elevators. I'm allergic to perfume. The shower was not good at all. Not enough pressure and the temperature of water in the shower was not that hot. Also in their coffee bar menu, price of cigarettes was QAR 20 but they charged me QAR 35. The light switches in the room can use rewiring. Lights in the bed area and living area were not independent and all worked with one switch.

Staff was good and friendly. Location good enough and facilities were ok except shower. Only spent about 10 hours so overall good.

I travel with my children and there's no no-smoking-rooms left for us, so we had to stay in one. They eventually upgraded us to a bigger room, but the stench of smoke in one of the room (we booked 2 rooms) was unbearable. We had to sleep all 5 person in 1 room, the room where the odor is giving less discomfort. Not to mention there are 2 night clubs in the hotel, so beats and basses are thumping through the room. I had to wear earphones to ease the noise.

The reception is very very helpful and accommodating.

First they offered us smoking rooms. Even if they knew we were traveling with children. It took quite a while to convince them that we definitely didn't want that. They should have warned us about it when booking, they had contact, not when we go to check in at reception at 10 p.m.

They made us tasty and rich breakfeast to go, because we had early flight.

It is oldish. All is there, it is ok, but not very new. View from the window is not the best. Bed matress is not comfortable.

Hotel has the pub and bar on the top floor, while going to the room with family you will encounter some unwanted crowd which you dont want to see

A few hiccups occurred with driver meeting us at airport. Had to wait 45 minutes. Our booked room was not available as it had been given to someone else. We were a very late arrival due to flight. After being shown to some rooms that were not acceptable, we were given an executive room. Glad that they rectified the matter well. .

Location very good for Souk and metro. Staff Very helpful.
