How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A quiet, peaceful place with a large kitchen. Comfortable, celan rooms with air conditioning and comfortable beds. Also small garden and nice rest area.

A lot of people living there long term. One of them an alcoholic. Staff love there too the lady us friendly the others are rude. On check in the guy said I can help you with anything you ask. I asked where is the centre and things to see. His reply use Google Maps. The next day asked where is good for breakfast he replies eat here it's the best place outside I don't know. Great help
Not far from the centre. Air con in all day and needed as its so hot in Asunción. Was able to keep my things there and shower after check out as I was on night bus at midnight. For a few nights it's ok

It's soo hot in paraguay haha, maybe some for Advice for asuncion, there is some market I passed on the bus leaving that might have been worth a visit.
The host is a really nice guy,

The bathroom I feel a little bit uncomfortable because only have curtains to separate the shower and no locks of the bathroom.
The Air-conditioning room is so important A big open kitchen and well-equipped kitchenette Nice garden

Lolo was very friendly and helpful. She helped me with making some calls in Spanish to help reserve my spot for transportation. The rooms were decent and the facilities were clean.

Really comfortable room with AC, WiFi, big bed. Showers had hot water. Kitchen was well stocked. Excellent location near a laundry place and supermarket.

Some mosquitos in the room, have to make sure you have repellent for mosquitos
The best hostel you can find in Asuncion with this low fee. Good location for old town tour

You don't get a key for the entance, so every time when I wanted to leave, I needed to ask so.ebody from the staff to let me out. They have a big inflamable pool, but the water is dirty, nobody use it.
Good ac in the room, the temperature was perfect. Big lockers and big garden.

The bathroom was quite far from the dorm room I was in.
This is a beautiful, historic building. It feels like an old convent. And it's walking distance to everything in the historic center of Asuncion.

You have to ask someone to open the door every time you want to go out. Swimming pool is dirty and green, clearly not maintained. Not enough plug in the room (1 for 3 beds).
Good location. The place is calm. Staff is friendly and happy to help you.

The staff was very friendly and always open for a chat or for answering your questions. Our bus left late in the night and we were allowed to stay until 11pm to wait for our bus. The pool was cleaned regularly and very comfortable. Would totally recommend this place!

the hostal crew is at any time for you there and are doing their best to make you feel at home. Had a great time and they keep cleaning the hostal facilities every day... the location is within walking distance (10 minutes) to the city center and super safe, also at night.

Nothing- I loved my stay here.
Super comfortable bed in a cozy little room that was very quiet and really well-controlled temperature-wise, which is saying something as it was freezing outside. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly and the kitchen is fabulous- really well-equipped and spacious.

Having to ring the doorbell to enter and exit
Comfortable beds with connectors, reading lights and privacy blinds. And great sized lockers. Ample kitchen and common areas and gorgeous back yard. Good location too.
