Everything was perfect!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Friends Hostel and it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly atmosphere. The hostel’s location is perfect, offering easy access to local attractions and transportation. The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. Instead of a comment, there is an excerpt from my diary: Finally, in a covered bazaar, we find the entrance to our guesthouse, where Akram, the 18-year-old host, warmly welcomes us. In no time we are talking to each other and are joined by two other guests, Mia, a young Danish woman and Ben, a young Australian world traveler. The small terrace a little above the apartment is the ideal place for this. Suddenly a young woman comes out of the neighboring apartment with her child, and later also the grandmother, everyone is super friendly and interested. All in all, a hospitable and uncomplicated arrival, just how we liked it. We are offered tea and move into our room, the drawing room and the best room in the house, which you can tell was once a pretty grand room, but now, like the whole house, is pretty old and run down. Soon we set off to a restaurant recommended by the host, which is located near the end of Hebron's lively main shopping street. The portions, chicken with rice, are huge, the price is the opposite. After organizing the city tour with Akram for the next day, we fall into a deep, wonderful sleep because the window can remain open in the pleasant temperatures.

This hostel feels like a home. It is in a perfect central location for visitors to Hebron with the Old city only a few moments walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and there are laundry facilities.

This is such a wonderful place to stay. Akram is the kindest, most welcoming host, it isn't like staying in a hostel - it's like staying with friends. Excellent value for money, and guaranteed to be staying with interesting people who are keen to learn about the situation in this city. Akram will also arrange tours to experience the city and understand the issues that Palestinians face. Thank you again - hope to see you soon!

Everything is perfect in this place! Starting from the host, nice and helpful, passing by the room, clean and comfortable, the same as the bathroom. You are free to use the kitchen for breakfast. Hebron is a wonderful city that will stay in your heart for ever, and this place is the right place to start your experience there. I already miss Hebron, Palestine and the Friend's hostel, where you are really treated like a friend. For sure I'l come back as soon as possible.

He didn't understand, what all should be cleaned and didn't accept my offer to help him with the cleaning = it was about the small shelfs in the kitchen.

No bunk beds = no fight about a lower bed necessary. The owner was very kind and explaining. He was a good help for finding/knowing a guide about the history and daily situation in Hebron and rest of Palestine.

I liked everything! The location is good, breakfast was delicious and beds were very comfortable an overall experience it was quite excellent price/quality ratio. The best part of the whole stay was the owner, the host. He gave me many helpful tips and lots of stories and information. He genuinely seems friendly to the people that come to stay at his hostel and he does his best to explain the situation in Hebron as well. Unique experience 🌟

Friends hostel is a must for anyone wanting to stay in Hebron and learn more about the city and region as a whole. Akram is a wonderful host and the apartment has all the facilities for a comfortable stay

Absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to hear about real life in Hebron. Akram is amazing host who make sure you feel like home. He takes time to explain the situation and answer the questions. The place has fast Wi-Fi, heating, kitchen and is centrally located. If we ever come back, we choose Friends Hostel again.

since we visited Hebron in early January it was a bit cold in the rooms. But Akram offered us big blankets and heaters.

We can definitely recommend the stay with Akram !!! We immediately felt very warmly welcome in his apartment. On the table we found very informative information material about the history of Palestine and Israel . Akram took a lot of time for us to inform us about his personal circumstances as a local Palestine in Hebron. He also gave us valuable tips for local food. At our personal request, Akram organized a great local guide who took us on a day tour of Hebron. For us, the days in Hebron were so intense, and indispensable in a tour of the country. We were invited by several families, each of whom told us poignantly of their personal powerlessness regarding a peaceful agreement with Israel. We could not have asked for a better host in the interesting city of Hebron !!!! Thank you Akram !!!!!

Akram is a super cool host. Attentive, well-informed and funny. They're right at the beginning, which means you won't find loads of people on here yet, but I honest to god had a good time in Hebron and Akram was a big part of that. Particularly useful if you want to understand what the hell is going on there. And no, I'm not paid to say this - he's just a genuinely cool guy. The place is in a cool location in the middle of the markets by a checkpoint
