How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

- The beds are a bit small (although comfortable).
+ Great location within very easy walking distance to the Main Square. It is far enough away that you don't have any issues with the noise and crowds. + The beds are comfortable (albeit small) + The bathroom is large, very clean and had everything needed + The staff are almost unnoticeable - they are efficient and do their work in such a way that they felt invisible. + Breakfast is plentiful and very good.

Expensive, I would rate it with 4 stars perhaps, not 5. For 5 stars the service needs to be extraorfinary.

there was only 1 product for both washing your body and hair :(
I loved everything about Hotel Grodek, except the shampoo and body wash. In fact, there was only 1 product for washing your body and hair. Such an amazing hotel with it's unique decoration, breakfast variety , location, cleanliness, deserves better bathroom products. And in addition, the guy at the reception at night shift was very helpfull. He prepared my breakfast bec. I had to leave the hotel early and opened the fireplaced room late at night So we could chat with the friends.

Larger sized single beds, these very the minimum single size, a bit too narrow.

If I had to be picky and I'm really being picky, I didn't like the tea bags. I'm not a big fan of Earl Grey tea, I usually take my own tea bags when travelling to other countries as I know they'll not have Yorkshire tea, that's the only issue I could think off
Clean room, fantastic location which was near enough for the old town ( it was literally round the corner) but far enough away so we didn't hear the noise, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and the hotel is definitely value for money

Only one thing that was missing and it does irritate most women was the lack of area in the room for make up. We always go back to hotels that provide a dressing table with a mirror above and a socket for hair drying - would absolutely expect to find this in a five star
The hotel is on a perfect location for the main attractions and welcoming and warm on arrival. The room was satisfactory, breakfast was amazing with good quality produce, lots of little extras. Staff were lovely and nothing asked for was a problem.

WIFI signal was weak in the room at end of hall on 2nd floor
Hotel located on quite side street. Close enough to the main market square attractions, restaurants etc.. and just far enough away from street crowd noise Room and bathroom were very spacious

The bed in my room was too hard for me and the window blinds don't block much light. Blackout curtains would be much better. This led to sleeping comfort not being great.
Cozy and lovely traditional style hotel. You will feel like you're staying in an old chateau. I especially loved the very cozy library bar area.

we had an early check-out at 3.30and the day before we warned the reception and asked for a refund ( 19 UR) FOR A REFUND FOR BREAKFAST WHICH WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND. they refused us and said that they would provide breakfast. when we arrived at the chek -out desk the guy said that he doesnt know anything about this and we can file a complaint with booking.' we had to spend another 150 zlotys on breakfast at the airoport. the wonderful feeling from the holiday and the hotel was spoiled. Maybe just rearrange the bar a little so peopke were facing each other as at the minute you have your back to people , but cute bar!
Friendly staff and spotlessly clean . Just 5 minutr ealk to the main square, just perfect really !
