Small thing: inconsistent staff knowledge about whether I had to pay incidental expenses on the spot or at the end of my stay.

Convenient location. Great view from Vue Restaurant. Service was above and beyond the call of duty, especially housekeeping and Vue Restaurant.

The only thing wrong with the stay was that the airconditioning seemed to be stuck at 18 degrees Celsius, which is too cold for sleeping, so I had to get up and turn it off during the night. But then the room got too hot for sleeping and I had to get up and turn it on again. I told the front desk, and they sent a person to look at it, but he was unable to fix it, and at the time, earlier in the evening, I didn't realize that it would become so cold during the night, so I didn't ask for a change of room.

cleanliness of hotel, proximity to airport, transport from and to airport, friendliness and helpfulness of staff. The restaurant overlooking the airport is a pleasure to eat in. The food and the variety of food was good.

Kids entertainment. The kids pool was under construction and my kids had to swim with me in the big pool.

Room was just cleaned when we checked in, had smell of mop, air freshener could have helped. Good to have bottle in fridge as soon as guest checks in. Staff at checkin should advise guest on what is available with their package.

Breakfast was average, the Martini Hour was super good, staff attentive . Enjoyed my spa treatment always best

my access card at one stage did not allow me to get into my floor, so i had to come down to the reception again and waited for quite a while before i got served. (there was a group ahead of me that was checking in so i had to wait to get served and my access card to be activated again)

the quietness and the well-furnished shared spaces. the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly. the transportation when i needed to go out of the hotel, the guys were very helpful and punctual with their service.

Only minor quibbles were that the hot water system was on the blink in the older wing, and they were having problems with the lift. Also, while I appreciated an upgrade to a 'loft' room in the new wing late in the stay, I couldn't get the telescope provided focused on anything, let along the planes.

There's so much to like about the Airways. Its location above the airport is sensational and they make full use of the views across the runways. The design makes it one of the truly exceptional hotels of the region, with comfortable roomy common spaces to encourage guest interaction and a feeling that you're staying in a giant mansion rather than a hotel. I love the books scattered liberally and attractively everywhere, the airy feel and the aesthetics. The staff are keen to please (although sometimes still learning on the job). The fitness centre has a small lap pool that's cleverly incorporated into the space. The wifi works well. A particular shout-out to the staff in the Business Centre - several times I ran to them with a short notice printing request and a USB, and they cheerfully did it instantly and in colour. Compare that to an equally expensive hotel (starting with H) that we were in for a couple of days, and where I had to send a request by email three times in order to get a poorly printed black and white sheet a couple of hours later - much less fun showing that to a Departmental Secretary the next day.

The hot water was hit and miss

The Airways is one of the most stylish hotels for business in the Pacific. It’s not a resort but it is very comfortable and airy, with beautifully designed shared spaces and generous rooms. The location above the airport is amazing.

Very nice hotel close to the airport. Staff was amazing en very helpful. Big room with comfy beds, airco and well insulated. Amazing buffet style breakfast and for dinner options out of 3 restaurants. Free shuttle bus service to the airport.

The food are not in my expectation as they have new chef My Nutella Pizza is uncooked, the Beef Lasagna was cold. Staff in Restaurant was not aware as I ordered waffle in Breakfast never have it until we finished

Friendly staff, very comfortable and I loved the facilities. I enjoyed the meal at the Vue and hope to go back again soon. An awesome getaway from home.
