I had some spotty wifi issues, where my phone would go back and forth between the wifi and the cellular network.

I liked everything about Sunset Hill Lodge! From the friendliness of the staff (Dolores and Gérard), to the excellent condition of everything in the unit (nothing broken, damaged, no duct tape or other temporary fixes), to the comfortable bed, linens, pillows, etc. It was all really well maintained and managed. Everything was clean and tidy. The appliances were relatively new (frost-free fridge/freezer, Bosch gas stove top) and worked great. Air conditioning worked great. Big windows with screens, which I preferred using overnight instead of the AC. Both Dolores and Gérard had helpful information about nearby stores, the public beach, etc. The view was lovely, and the location was walking distance from 2 grocery stores.

You have everything what you need! Bed, kitchen and bathroom and a beautiful view over the bay! It's located close to the supermarket and the ferry to the airport. Dolores picked me up and was really nice! It's not by the sea but I didn't mind because I could rent a bike next door and go wherever I liked!

Hosts were very kind and helpful. Location was good, not a long walk to supermarkets and all you need in Vaitape. 30 min pretty scenic bike to Matira beach. Kitchen in the room had all the basics in terms of tools/cookware and the outdoor terrace was a great spot to have a coffee in the rain with a view. Really enjoyed our stay here!

The location was very close to restaurants, supermarkets and shops, 15 minutes walk from the port. They have a free pick up service, very appreciated. The lodge was extremely clean, big and comfortable with a nice sea view terrace and mountain view from the other side. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely the best place to stay in Bora Bora without going into resorts.

Everything was great but if I had to pick something I would say we needed a trashcan in the bathroom so I wouldn’t have to walk to the kitchen to throw things away. Wi-Fi was slow for trying to upload a video but that could’ve been just the area in general. But these are just minor things that obviously we worked around. No big deal I would highly recommend.

The Property was clean, it was close by to a dock where we were picked up for tours. The host picked us up from the harbor and also took us back. Free of charge. That was awesome. She even asked if we wanted to stop for hotdog on the way. Lol. Within walking distance of two grocery stores. Great view. I loved the terrace.

I stayed in one room for 1 night, the accommodation was good although a little closed in and felt a little claustrophobic, but many other rooms they have are a lot more spacious and better balconies and windows. Highly recommended, both Gerard and his assistant (sorry cant remember her name ) are both very helpful and informative .

Excellent Host Gerard and his lovely assistant, one of the most accessible properties in Bora Bora. They provide an excellent pick up service for free that makes a big difference, As many hotels in Bora Bora charge expensive fee to collect you or take you to the Airport Ferry. Spent 2 further nights at the accommodation by the lagoon which was much more spacious and had better furnishings and facilities. That property was Par excellence. The first night I spent at the main accommodation was a little small but the Lagoon Lodge is excellent

Just a small thing that could be improved is that the kitchen is equipped with only the very basics; not even salt, nor pepper or cooking oil. Even something as basic as that would facilitate use of the kitchen, for those who want to cook.

First of all, Hinano, our hostess at Sunset Hill lodge, was simply stellar, absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond, gave us tips and ideas for what to do in Bora-Bora, booked activities for us, and even provided a free beach drop-off and pick-up on one day. Mauruuru! :) We stayed in an apartment just by the water. It's cute but basic, a 10min walk to supermarkets and the main square of Vaitape.

It’s far from the beach. You need a car or a taxi to go to the beach to swim.

The mattress, sheets are comfortable. The shower room is clean and comfortable. There is balcony overlooking the ocean. Overall the property is decent and clean. Hinano the property manager assistant is kind to give you a ride from the port to the property vice- versa I called her on her phone and when she was available she gave me a ride. She helped me with my luggage because when I came in to the property I injured my foot from the other accommodation.

I would say if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs: dogs and roosters are pretty noisy on the hill. This is something I experienced in over places in Polynesia.

Service from both Hinano and Gerard. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The gardens were beautiful, my daughter loved the bananas from the garden. Location close to town, groceries, excursions and hikes. We were able to spend 3 days in town and do all the tours we wanted while on the main island and then enjoy one night/2 days in a resort on a motu (at a much higher rate).
