Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaStay was too short haha.
We had a fantastic time during our 2 night stay at Le Tahaa. It was so nice we wished we had stayed more here and less on Bora Bora. Excellent facilities, wonderful staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. Great snorkeling in the coral gardens.

United StatesFood at the restaurant was good and at reasonable prices for Polynesia and for a resort, but could have a larger menu. After two or three days, the menu options felt short. And you do not have many options outside the hotel in the main island.
Best resort ever. Quiet, charming, second to none in location. On a motu (island) within the lagoon. Right next to the coral garden. The coral garden is the best snorkeling spot in the Polynesia, if not on earth. And it’s on the hotel. You can walk up to the reef and let the slow current guide you through the coral garden. The overwater bungalows were amazing. When I walked in I was speechless.

SwitzerlandThe transfer is very expensive and they try to charge you even more than indicated on booking.com.
The location is amazing with a white sand beach and coral garden right in front! Do not miss to walk on the other side of the island to have a fantastic view of Bora Bora. Nice pool, bars and restaurants. Our beach bungalow was incredible and super private with an outdoor pool and shower.

IsraelNot lots of variation in food. Medium size resort, but no bikes or anything so can be decent walk from one place to another. Gym is not amazing.
Amazing resort, great service, amazing water, calm, significantly better price-value ratio than Bora-bora both on the resort and resturants.

United StatesThe place is over the top expensive. It is not a place that most people can go without going into some debt.
The breakfasts were excellent and there were always healthy choices like fresh vegetables.

Everything was perfect, especially considering we were there with children, and they were always super helpful and comprehensive. They tried to find the best solution for both other guests and our family with kids. The room we had was recently renovated to excellent standards: authenticity with luxury. Super quiet. Tons of space. Endless views. Privacy, etc. We appreciated a lot the little attentions and the kindness & authenticity of the staff. There is so much charm everywhere: The main restaurant is super cozy high up in the trees, the staff does everything by bike instead of golf carts, etc. Unlike other luxury resorts, we did not have the impression they were trying to squeeze every dollar out of us. We stayed here 5 nights and wished we could have stayed a couple more days as 5 felt too short :)

United StatesWe had a beach bungalow which had many sliding doors, a few of which broke or got stuck. It was difficult to figure out how to control all of the lighting in the room.
Gorgeous, peaceful, idyllic setting. Beautiful grounds. Everything is designed to feel like it belongs in this paradise. Incredible and easily accessed reef with a stunning coral garden and dozens of fish species. Food was quite good especially the breakfast buffet! Staff was helpful and friendly. We had a beach bungalow with a pool which was fantastic. The outdoor tub/shower was my favorite touch - there is nothing like soaking in a warm bubble bath while gazing at the stars!

The most beautiful resort I have ever been. I loved the activities you can do on the beach and the food at the restaurants. The overwater bungalows are just spectacular. Every morning was a dream waking up in front of the giant window on the sea.

United StatesNothing for us; others said the place was dated; maybe we don't frequent the four seasons or the like often (ever) but I couldn't fathom what they meant - it's not cookie cutter and okay I can tell that some of the wooden tables in the room are not brand new, but really? Other small things that are not negative but just observations - may be obvious to say, but meals are expensive - everything has to be brought in of course from elsewhere; plan for $60-100pp for dinner easily, $30-60 for lunch (yummy lunch). You can have own drinks in room fridge and get ice from the ice machine. Too many plastic single use water bottles IMO - you get 4+ delivered to your room/day when the tap water is totally fine; we just left ours and hopefully they get back in circulation. I'll put some more positives here: swimming from your deck each morning before breakfast on the crazy light blue sandy waters is such a luxury); sunrise also amazing (be early for sunrise and stay late for sunset are my tips). We enjoyed the loop walk around the island. We heard the spa/massages were great. Didn't really use the pool much (at all) given the ocean around us and the coral garden too... Would return for another stay some day I think.
What a place! what a place! I almost hesitate to give too much information here because I read some things but not too much and fell in love with the whole package when we got there. We haven't stayed in 5 star places much but this (and it's hard to say) I think is worth it (the $$; it is an extravagance, but still... it's such fantasy) and I would come back here again and recommend it to friends and family. We stayed for 2 nights; arrived on the hotel boat from the airport, were welcomed by Laurent, the lovely general manager (very white lotus-y), and shown to our overwater bungalow - which even though you see all the pictures and videos, blows you away... such opulence seems like it shouldn't be allowed... but it's still so nice. The place has a classy charm that is stylish and extremely well done without being over the top or ridiculously perfect - the aesthetic was French and Polynesian and classic. Highlights: - Breakfast - come hungry!! love the oeufs a la coq station; everything was great, I only wish i could eat three meals instead of one each time. - Staff - everyone, the workers, Christine at the gift shop, Laurent the manager, were very friendly and super nice. Say "io ra-na" and you'll get one back from everyone. - Coral garden next door - quite a unique Disney snorkeling ride. You walk across the inslet to the north motu (small island) and walk along the inlet away from the hotel and towards the reef and then hop in and let the current pull you along as you marvel at the colorful fish and reef all around you - you will get scratched just FYI, so cover yourself as you feel comfortable and try to go a high tide, saw so many fish, an octopus, others saw rays in the sandy end part, but the main attraction are the colorful small fish everywhere just looking at you tamely as you float by. - Polynesian show on Tuesday night was really fun; the buffet was very extravagant too.
