The biggest disappointment was Le Lotus restaurant’s booking/vibe. I phoned the hotel a couple of days earlier and made a reservation for our one night there, which somehow didn’t make it into the reservation book when we arrived. This seemed to stress the young lady managing the restaurant, as she was very terse (the least friendly person we met in French Polynesia in 2 weeks), though she still found us a table. I did note that she seemed to be terse with her staff the whole evening, and they did not seem the happiest in their work. Worthy of a workplace culture review, I would say. To be (constructively) honest, the food was pleasant but staid in style, not really current Michelin 2 Star standard, as promoted in the (electronic only!) menu.

Nice spot, lovely overwater bungalow, though not that swimmable from the bungalow, as quite choppy and a little murky, but that may just have been the weather conditions at the time. Breakfast doesn't vary a lot, its usually the same on a daily basis. The lack of a beach close to the property makes it less attractive to be honest. The hotel charges for shuttles to the city, I think it should be included in the room rate.

The larger rooms are quite spacious, both pools are very nice.

The restaurant doesn't serve food between lunch and dinner and we arrived at a strange time so had to go look for food elsewhere. Slightly impersonal check in. Other places had a lei greeting or welcome drink. That isn't necessary but would be a great plus!

We splurged for an overwater motu bungalow and while not cheap, it was an incredible room. The view of the lagoon and Moorea was second to none, the bathroom was huge, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever seen! The concierge was so helpful with luggage. The pool area is incredible.

My primary issues relate to the concierge service and some of the wait staff. We requested concierge assistance booking a restaurant that was recommended. The restaurant was booked but the concierge found us another location for that night and said he would book the location we wanted for the next night. When we arrived in the lobby the next evening to depart for the restaurant we were informed at that time he could not get us a reservation and had booked us instead at the hotel restaurant. This was obviously a very self serving option which precluded the opportunity to select from other alternatives. Since it was Saturday night there was no other options available at that point. Another issue was the time and effort it took to get the attention of the wait staff. With the understanding that everyone is there is to relax and presumably in not hurry, it should still not take several attempts to wave down a pausing waiter to request a condiment or the check. This happened on more than one occasion with different staff at different locations. Finally, on the first day of check in we found that the bathroom sick was clogged and reported it. On the day we checked out nothing had been done.

The facility was clean, well maintained and furnishings were up to date. Bed was comfortable and room was decent size...but perhaps smaller that the room rate warranted. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating (see below). The property itself is in a beautiful location and is convenient to the airport.

Shuttles to the city should not be charged. No beach access on a such a resort 😢. Adamant on charging each and every small thing, makes it feel a bit petty.

The corridors should be renewed and the carpet should be removed as its full of stains due to the rain. We stayed for just 5 hours as we were stopping over before our international flight back home but they didnt offer us any day rate and we had to pay for a full night stay. They should review their rates policies as their proximity to the airport is an opportunity to offer day use rates for those travellers with long waits between flights.

The rooms are renewed and comfortable and they have free wifi all around the property. We didnt have any views to the pool or sea as we were on the ground floor but we had a small terrace with a table and two chairs.

The food is a bit pricey for the value. We wished they had a microwave in the room (wasn't one in ours), because we brought back leftovers but did not have anyway to reheat it or finish it.

Love that this hotel was only 5 mins from the airport and about 12 minutes to the downtown area. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. We choose this spot as there is not too much to do downtown, so we could have a place to relax when not adventuring out. The room was a good size which a patio facing the trees (we had the regular King Room accommodation), to the right you could look out and see the water. The pool is also very nice ~ you have an area where you can lounge around in the water and also a fish lagoon where you can snorkel, checking out the little fish they have! They don't provide a shuttle from the airport so we got a taxi which came out to about $17 US one way. The nice thing is they do have a shuttle that goes directly downtown and back, which you can reserve with the concierge for $5 one way, per person. If you want cheaper transportation without renting a car/scooter, download the App "HelloScoot". They have yellow scooters all around the area that you can rent by the minute. It made our trip so much more fun being able to come and go as we please (cost about $7 one way from downtown surrounding areas to the hotel).

Having a very loud and late music concert steps from our front door was very disruptive.

Being able to swim from our own little dock was spectacular and the sunsets and sunrises were both visible which was a real treat.

Our room was clean and spacious with a fabulous view of the ocean and the island of Morea. The balcony was large enough for 4-5 people. They have several large pools that accommodate many guests. One of the pools has a sandy bottom and a swim up bar. All of the pools look out at the ocean. The restaurants have wonderful food, but they are very expensive. The resort is 5 minutes from the airport or 10 to downtown Papette by taxi. I would definitely stay there again.
