Great place to stay. Glad to be part of something so old built in around 1840s.

A little bit far from main city for tourists who want to explore as much as possible.

I loved the location. Could see the sea from window while having breakfast. Peaceful and beautiful place.

Before renting, one should know what they are getting. The Rorbuer (red cabins) that one typically get nowadays are more modern. The moment one arrives here, the owner starts telling you that these cabins aren't those and tries to talk up how special and historic these are. It's an old-world cabin. First you have to go over some slippery rock to get in, then you open the door and it leads into a very dark kitchen area that is not heated, nor isolated from the elements so it gets incredibly cold and breezy. The bathroom is rather ok. The main room is large and has a stove. It's not fancy, nor does it need to be, but the beds are more like futons and not really wide or supportive. Understand there is no Wi-Fi at all. You can sort of receive something from across the harbour, but you'll be on your wireless the whole time. It gets cold, but there's a fireplace. It's not really that clean- they rely on the previous tenants to clean the place. It wasn't insanely grimy, but budget that you'll have to clean the place to make sure. It should be made clear that this is an old-world cabin so that the owner wouldn't have to immediately bombard you with the historical stuff and talk it up like it's so special. It may be, but one should be informed properly so the expectations are correct. Maybe some people like it from Norway, but it may not translate over for some. Maybe some redneck tourists are amazed, but some just want to move into a place and focus on the vacation, not cleaning and certainly not itching. Perhaps if it was a bit cleaner then ok. The location is ok, nothing special, Reine isn't too far, neither is A. It's just not a nice road to keep driving back and forth on and I recommend staying further north if you will be on an extended period in this part of Lofoten and come down south a few km for this region. It's just too touristy, roads narrow, bad drivers, expensive.

    Nice view of the harbor
