Layout was beautiful. Multiple levels that lead to Lake Apoyo afforded privacy. Great food. Helpful and friendly staff.

Nothing related to the Casa. Just know that if you attract mosquitoes at home... it will be the same there! So, don't forget Deet and Afterbite product.

Casa Marimba is a gorgeous place with a lot of birds. It's a very nice place to stay as a basecamp to visit the surroundings area including Mombacho and Granada as it's a little cooler, and very nice play to go back in the very hot afternoon ! The food is good, the employees are really nice and helpful :-)

Casa Marimba exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable and somewhat spacious. The staff are excellent and helpful. The food was very good. Surprisingly, the fries are awesome! We ate way too many. Breakfast omelete is delicious. Filet mignon was so tender and juicy - and affordably priced.

My experience was absolutely perfect. From the reception to the breakfast. When we arrived there were not many people in the place, we stayed from Saturday to Sunday in a room with a terrace that had a hammock to rest in the afternoon or morning. Customer service was 10/10; I even used an iron for a dress, and the service guys made everything easy for me.The cost is a bit high but the price-location ratio is worth it.

The walls were quite thin so when other guests were moving around and talking you could hear it in the other rooms.

A beautiful spot on the lake, it was really quiet and peaceful. The hotel is set slightly up the side and the whole way down to the water were different spaces with hammocks, tables and chairs and loungers. At the lake there were rings and kayaks to use. The room was really comfortable with a lovely bed, mosquito net and good AC. The food in the restaurant was excellent a the staff at check in and during our stay were friendly and helpful. There were water filters to refill bottles.

Once it rained, there were some offensive smells, possible septic.

The staff here is amazing. They even remembered a food allergy and made a special dish without us asking. Everything was very clean and the environment was very relaxing.

I understand that this was beyond their control, but one of their pieces to the water pump broke, and we were without water for a couple of hours. The staff took the time to let us know what was happening, and they tried to make us as comfortable during this time. Also, the drive out there was a little challenging, and for non-locals a little hard to find. We also are not aware that there is a fee to get into the actual town itself.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Casa marimba. It was such a quaint, charming, and beautiful location. There was not many people when we went, and the little gardens and attention to detail were just adorable. The food was also really good, and we were addicted to their natural fruit beverages. The staff was also wonderful. we would highly recommend staying here, I have been to other units around the Laguna, and this has been my far my favorite.
