Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesDon't think there is anything I can list here.
We loved our stay at Adela. When we checked in, a gentleman assisted and he spoke english. From then on it was only the female staff present and they didn't speak english. But it was easy to communicate with the various means and the ladies were just lovely. Breakfast was brilliant, and very relaxing sitting in their beautiful garden. The room was big and comfy. Lighting could have been a little brighter in the room. Pool is a perfect size but needed a little cleaning. Location perfect, very close to Garden Cafe which is the best lunch spot.

CanadaYou are in Nicaragua, so there are bugs around. The hotel does a very good job in keeping everything clean and spraying to ensure that there are no bugs in the room. We had a little critter in there on the first night. The next day the hotel sprayed the room again and we didn’t have a problem. I’m very nervous about any sort of creepy crawler and didn’t experience anything after this, so please don’t let this deter you. It will likely be a possibility anywhere you stay.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel on a quiet street. It is a few minute walk away from the main square and all of the activity, so is perfectly located. The hotel is gorgeous. We loved the decor and the common areas (pool and various sitting areas inside and outside). You have access to use and store food in the kitchen. We also had a mini fridge and coffee maker in our room. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We asked to stay an extra night and they went above and beyond to help us with this. The property is impeccably maintained. The room is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The linens and towels were spotless. We had breakfast there every morning and it was delicious. It looked like the best hotel in the area and we were very happy with our choice!

NicaraguaExcellent service and location. The room was so comfortable and we loved the decorations. They have so much open space and sitting areas for the amount of rooms available (only 4), at moments it felt like the whole place was just for us. Great experience, fully recommend!

This was the perfect way to end our trip through Central America. It’s a really charming boutique hotel with a lovely courtyard that gives the feeling of staying in your private villa / little oasis in the middle of Granada, for a very reasonable price. The superior King room was superb, with a lovely pool right in front of the room. The AC worked well and it was quiet, so we slept well. And all the staff were wonderful.

NetherlandsDespite such friendliness from the staff, no one spoke English which was pretty some barrier for us. It wasn't really possible to talk without Google translate. But once they would understand us, they did their best to help
It is a super nice hotel with super friendly stuff. We very happy with our stay. The room was cosy, we had a coffee machine in the room and could use the common fridge. The room was getting very hot very soon but the AC was our saviour. Location is good. Very close to the cathedral. Also worth mentioning is the safety. The gates of the hotel have been closed every night and there was a guard so that no external person could come in. Also once we left tips on the table in the room and the cleaning personnel didn't touch it, until the next day when we explicitly told them it was meant for them

GermanyOnly downside was that I could only stay one night.
Everyone of the staff made me feel welcome from the moment so stepped in. I arrived late at night and the city seemed dark and empty so stepping into this wonderful garden was completely unexpected. This is a truly lovely place that is looked after with great care.

CanadaThis hotel was amazing. It is incredibly beautiful and unique, it was the peaceful retreat we needed during our travels. The gardens and grounds for relaxing and swimming are huge and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves during our stay. The breakfast was amazing and eating breakfast al fresco in the courtyard was fantastic. The whole place is very well maintained and clean. The staff was really friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing. Everything is amazing quality and beautifully done. This was by far the best place we stayed during our time in Nicaragua.

United StatesThe internet was a little unstable.
The gardens were beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic - cooked to order. The location was great - easy walking distance to many interesting things. The size of my room with two queen beds for just me alone was perfect. I do yoga every morning. Once I moved the chairs, there was plenty of room on the beautiful tile floor to stretch my yoga mat out. There is also a yoga studio called ‘Pure’ a block away.

United Statesthe shower was a bit hard to function in, very small.
I can’t say enough good things about this gorgeous, special, fabulous hotel. What a find! We stayed here for 2 nights and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the staff (Alejandra and Guadalupe, you are amazing hosts and we can’t thank you enough for taking care of us!) The location is ideal. You are walking distance to everything, but off of the main (loud) areas. The grounds are gorgeous and extremely well kept, the pool was just the right size and temperature. We met another family there and my son became fast friends with the children. It felt magical to be in such a warm inviting surrounding. I usually do not sleep well in new environments, and I can be very picky about the beds and pillows. I slept like a baby both nights and was so thankful the beds were so comfortable. The accommodations were perfect. On another note, my son had a bad stomach ache the day we left and the staff made sure we were ok, and allowed us to stay in the room much longer then we intended so my son could recover, they even sent someone to pick up some medicine for us, gratis. The breakfasts were wonderful, and it really felt like you were staying with friends. I will 100% always come back to Hotel Adela next time we travel to Granada. What an absolutely wonderful experience. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, you will not be disappointed. One of the best in Granada!
