for a deluxe room, i find the bed rather small. one would expect the deluxe to have a queen size bed or something. its only the balcony that differentiates it from standard room

Room was smaller than I thought especially for the price but I adjusted. Not a great balcony view.

Truly lovely stay with some of the best staff I have encountered anywhere. Welcomed with their warmth and a really different pineapple drink (with ginger, tabasco, like they know what I like...) It was my birthday and it's amazing they noted this just from taking my ID and brought a surprise to the room - more than just the usual cake dessert and singing also came with ice cream , sparklers and a whole bottle of wine. I was really surprised and had to stay one more night. Everywhere was super clean, nice boutique decor and really superb complimentary breakfast for 2 brought to the room up to 11am. And one of the few places that still provide more than just soap and shampoo, also go dental, shaving, vanity etc. And if you're here long term, you have the cinemas and restaurants of Ebony Life place next door. Same owner I believe.

Small bed. I believe only 1m40 wide which is quite small if you are with 2 adults. The bathroom sink was clogged at first, they fixed it quite fast. The room phone didn't work as well at first. The finishing of the room is under standard, some of the covers of the light switches fell off, the rack in the shower fell off and the bathroom wall had 2 big holes where a previous rack used to hang.

Clean and soft towels, clean bedsheets, ... Spacious room. Airco works well. We got a welcome drink when we arrived. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was by order which means you can either take it in the bar downstairs or have it as room service at no extra charge. Most of it was egg based though. For the deluxe version with egg, smoked salmon and avocado you pay a bit extra (even with complementary breakfast) but it is well worth it. Facilities in the compound are great. The ebony life place (building in the same compound) features a rooftop bar/restaurant, an asian restaurant, a cinema and the swimming pool.

However, although overall cleanliness is good in comparison to other hotels I stayed on the Island, it was clear that they hadn't done any renovations in a while, I stayed in 3 different rooms across my stay and the rooms could do with a serious refresh to the walls and sanitary-ware and then it would be perfect. Also, the hotel is right next door to Library Club and I am a light sleeper, from my room I could hear loud music most nights.

Location is great because it is approx 10mins to most restaurants, clubs and beaches on the Island. Staff are amazing, they go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay, from reception to room service. All are so attentive and helpful. Breakfast is great too, with option to have breakfast in bed!

No universal sockets in the rooms making it difficult for international travelers to charge their devices. When we complained to the lobby, the receptionist said “there’s nothing we can do for you because previous guests took our universal charging adaptors and we ran out, so we no longer give guests, the best we can do for you is to charge your devices for you in the lobby”. My fiancé and I have several devices and we can’t leave them all charging in the lobby, infuriated at this point, we demanded to speak to the manager who pretty much echoed the words of his receptionist, I was notably and visibly upset for good reason after the manager asked us to charge our devices in the lobby because there’s nothing they can do for us, he said he would’ve helped but due to my anger and tone (after several frustrating hours of requesting for a simple charging adaptor), he wouldn’t help us. After about 20 minutes of back and forth and explaining how we’ve been treated very poorly, he offered to let us use his universal charging extension for our stay. We thanked him and returned it back before checking it out. As beautiful and convenient as this hotel is, my experience interacting with the staff was very very very poor and they need to work on customer service.

There wasn’t enough space for my luggages in the room, so it was a bit of a struggle for me.

The room design is so beautiful, the bathroom is modern and very practical, the staffs were so nice and helpful all the time. They had lovely choice of breakfast and the food tasted really good and the location is absolutely fantastic.

I was made to wait while the Receptionist confirmed my payment with the Accounts staff; I feel this could have been sorted internally long before my arrival (since the payment was made almost a week before my arrival).

Room service was a bit slower than expected and the when the food order arrived, an item was incorrect. I thought the Asian fusion restaurant was a bit pricey, but I suppose they are trying to keep it quite exclusive. There was also some soliciting of "gifts" by a staff member. However, none of this took away from the pleasure of the stay at the hotel. Would give 4.8/5. Well recommended. Note that although google maps shows that the hotel is walking distance to the beach, that entrance is closed due to construction traffic and you will need to catch a taxi to landmark beach

Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Even though we checked out early, because we were flying quite late at night and still wanted to use the hotel facilities, they made a room available for us in the evening to wash-up and get dressed before we finally left for the airport. Love the fact that the adjoining EbonyLife Place is a part of the hotel and can be used by the guests. Restaurants there were brilliant, particularly the roof top restaurant.
