The breakfast not so various that it should be and too much pepper in your food. Was not so easy to eat.

The location was not far from our office. Very good choice. The breakfast was not easy for strangers like us. You should also have international foods for people like us. +1 for the guy Ilyassou we met at the restaurant. Adorable, respectful and kind. I will definitely choose your place each time i come in Abuja.

The furnishings are quite old and could use an upgrade. It detracts from the cleanliness when the furniture is scuffed or cracked. Especially in the bathroom, the toilet seat lid was hard to close and the bath was very old and some parts (of the jacuzzi) were missing or rusty.

The staff were friendly and efficient. Service (laundry,restaurant) was very quick and when I had an issue connecting to WiFi a tech team came and resolved my issue within 5 minutes. It was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a nice view of the pool area/garden. The pepperoni pizza was delicious and i enjoyed the breakfast as well. I was glad to discover that the hotel had an in-house business centre where I was able to get my printing and photocopying done.

The lighting in the rooms were not bright enough, the pipes make a lot of noise when opened, so you could hear the creaking when your neighbors upstairs and downstairs are using it. The room layout was odd, with a wardrobe located in the bathroom (so your clothes get damp from the steam and moisture) on top of that, there was no lighting in the wardrobe itself.so you couldn't see what you were doing) The only other thing was that our door seemed broken, so difficult to lock from the inside without banging the door and the latch was broken. We didn't complain because we spent most of our time outside anyways

Good hotel located in Garki, not too far from the city center within driving distance of most places Staff were generally welcoming and helpful and overall it was a good stay Although we didn't use the pool, it looked very clean and not crowded like the Hilton.

The TV could need some upgrading as the remote was clunky and features were lacking - no usb for user content Food needs improvement. The jollof rice had too much artificial spice and was salty Brighter lighting is needed in the room

We faced little difficulty in below points: 1) Payment using INTERNATIONAL Credit card (we tried multiple cards) was not getting through ! 2) Wifi connection was NOT great in the ROOM 3) Irrespective of buying a PHONE DATA plan from here, the connection was bad ! 4) We could not get POWER ADAPTER from the hotel and had to buy one..! 5) Room could have been more brighter (in terms of light) 6) Things like WATER, SUGAR, COFFEE, TEA BAGS was restricted to one per day...so we had to actually buy from the market.

The reception team were very helpful. The Manager Mr Laval was always ready to help and around checking if we need anything. The Team at the Restaurant were ready to help always. The Car pick up arranged by Hotel was good and Anthony specially who was driving us was very good and professional.

The major letdown was the wifi/internet service. It was actually non-existent! For a top-notch establishment, poor wifi is a huge disappointment, and will be my main reason for NOT staying at the Hawthorn again.

The loud music from the pool every afternoon. The fact that it is a halal hotel and not indicated anywhere on booking.com (or did I miss it?) Only 1 bath towel, no hand towel. The jacuzzi in the bathroom extremely slippery when wet Extremely long delay when ordering room service Quite a lot of maintenance issue. Nothing major but annoying. Confusion with the bill.
