Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The security, location, and pool were excellent. It was peaceful, and the view of the lagoon was soothing. The staff were extremely accommodating, with Godwin being an outstanding, ever-smiling superstar. Everything was very clean.

NigeriaHonestly, the only downside to my stay was having to leave. I originally booked for just one day and was so charmed that I tried to extend my stay, but unfortunately, they were fully booked the following day. I ended up paying more at another place that didn't compare.
I had an awesome stay at Guided Hospitality! The food was delicious, especially the pepper wings. The staff was very attentive, and the property was spotlessly clean. I enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep and felt completely rejuvenated. Highly recommend!

United KingdomThey could do better at providing directions to the place. There was no reference in the information provided to 'Marion Apartments', which is where the accommodation is situated. That omission made the property more difficult to locate than it needed to be. Also, more care could have been taken with invoicing. There's a reasonable expectation on the part of guests that the figures on the invoice broadly match those advertised on the website. That did not initially happen in my case, so more effort required - to get things right, first time. When I questioned figures, the fact that I was engaging with anonymous individuals on WhatsApp, who were not averse to puerile exchanges, did not help. I reported a leaking a/c, and was told that it would be looked into. No evidence that was done. I can hear the water dripping as I am writing this review... :-). Management needs to be more alert to the health and safety risk of leaks (slippery floor...etc), as well as the damage it is doing (indeed has already done) to the property. And a couple of minor points - I asked for a recommendation for other hotels that may be available for my further stay in Lagos. I waited over 8 hours without a response, before I gave up and booked an apartment A quicker response (even a 'sorry can't help you') would have been appreciated given the time sensitivity of the request. Also, overkeen security staff meant that I ended up waiting outside the property for over 30 minutes for a taxi as they wanted me to ring to get back in immediately after I'd stepped out. Use of some discretion on their part would have been good.
Overall my stay was good. I found the food was presented well, and tasted even better! Another plus was the cleanliness and condition of the room and apartment, which was generally good. And the assistance I received from staff (Godwin in particular) on the ground could not be faulted.

GermanyWhen we booked place it stated breakfast included and you get 5$ credit. But by breakfast time we were told that we have only this creadit available which is 7,000 naira. Most of the breakfast were above this price. So technically breakfast is not included and most of the times you will need to pay extra (especially for 2). Check out process was also a bit complicated, as we figured they take 30k naira as caution, unfortunately it wasn't mentioned by booking. Also we had problem with double charging from booking and a hotel, which made it confusing.
Room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself is very modern and stylish. It is full of nice paintings and you can see that owner put heart into this place. They have small balcony where one can enjoy glass of wine. Electricity was available all the time, and they had hot water. There's also a water tank where guests can get drinking water. Food was tasty and fresh. Staff was responsive. Place is quiet and you can enjoy time there.

Conversations could be heard of people standing outside of the window which could be a little disturbing at times but not enough to ruin the stay. I had an issue on the first day which the owner (I think he was the owner) was gracious enough to compensate me. The product manager was also nice and helpful. One of the cleaners was great. My issue is with the on site manager, Eniola. Honestly, she doesn’t pass the vibe check for someone who is front of house. She started off good but as issues arose during my stay her attitude became off. The last straw was when I queried a charge to my account ( a booking that I had cancelled and rebooked) she reacted with a rolling eyes emoji 🙄to one of my messages as if I was stupid or something. I have a screenshot of the exchange. I was thoroughly unimpressed afterwards because like I said the owner, product manager and cleaner worked to changed my mind about the issue I had, then Eniola the manager ruined it. I won’t stay there again.
Great location in quiet surroundings. The hotel/apartment is well maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. It looks like the pictures which is good.

NigeriaHad high hopes for my NYE stay in a shared apartment at 'Banana Island.' Opted for the Executive Room with a sea view, which actually matches the online ad. However, struggled with locating the exact spot, and even the guards at the supposed apartment lacked knowledge of 'guided hospitality.' I Suggest including detailed directions in the booking info. Upon arrival, faced challenges finding parking without assistance. Enjoyed the view and the clean sheets but encountered issues later. No key was provided upon checkin. Eniola was helpful reiterating the house rules and ensuring they weren’t broken., Breakfast order the next morning took over 90 minutes and everything came pretty cold.. Overall, an underwhelming experience. Wouldn't recommend or revisit.
