Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThis is our third stay, enjoy everything. Outside of building in parts looks a bit run down but that’s the only negative.
Staff were lovely. Room was great. Had a Seaview. Pool area wonderful, great location right on beach and close walk to shops. Had a great dinner at the beachside restaurant .

Australia1) quality of evening dining fair rather than amazing. fine dinning had closed by April. restaurant at hotel next door better. 2) need to provide sheets in a warm clinic not just a duvet/doona. 3) should consider a regular shuttle into town provided by hotel
breakfast breast . buffet lots of options. staff amazingly friendly. quite good French wine list. situated to maximise beautiful late afternoons and sunset.

AustraliaFood was good / ok - but not fantastic. Typical for most resorts. That said, the staff were very helpful in recommending and booking great places to eat nearby.
Staff were superb, always happy to go above and beyond to make your stay great! Plently of beach loungers available when we were there, and they are super comfortable, plenty of shade available under the trees.

AustraliaBar staff not very helpful and service extremely slow. The lift broke down, had to use the stairs to get up and down to level 4. Don’t have great entertainment. Should have life music around the restaurant near the pool/beach.
Reception Staff are very helpful, helped us book a day trip over to the Isle of Pines.

AustraliaIt’s 5* hotel but room service it’s not 24/7, not even a mini bar. Member of the stuff behaved very inappropriate by offering me a massage at 3am (!) where we were only 2 people at the lobby, making me feel that I may be in danger, and trying to walk me to my room when I was keep saying that I can find my way by myself. The next day I asked to talk to the hotel manager. I had talked to the reception manager. Lady was just defending her staff member. I asked again to talk to hotel manager, what wasn’t possible. Reception manager was giving me a bad attitude, when I come with such a serious meter (!) I hope that it won’t happen to other solo female travellers.
Hotel it’s beautiful, pool and private beach as well. I loved the location.

AustraliaWhilst the staff were friendly, service was very slow. It became a competition in the beachside area to see how close you could get to the bar before a staff member would come out to greet you but they’d never come to your seats and take an order. Breakfast was ok but mostly the food was underwhelming.

France- there is no fridge, only a thing which look like a fridge but is isn’t one.. haha they told us that was to keep things fresher than outside but wasn’t a fridge so we couldn’t keep cold water - Unfortunately our phone wasn’t working, we asked them few times to fix it but never happened, so we were not able to call room service, but to be honest it’s a really small complain everything else was perfect.
The hotel is gorgeous in a beautiful localisation, in front of the turquoise sea, the staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful ( big up to Alan & Jeremy), the pool is amazing and not too busy, breakfast buffet is good with lots of options. Our room was really clean, splendid view, bed really confortable, wifi incredible it even works when you are outside of the hotel until the pool the beach the restaurant around.

AustraliaInconsistent service. One day our room was made up by 11:00, the next, we waited until past 15:00! (Our usual schedule is to go the beach early, 08:00, then get out of the midday sun, then return to the beach at 15:00) The main restaurant, Le Sextant, was only open evenings Friday / Saturday for a BBQ buffet. Did not try it. The beach bar / restaurant was open, (Le Faré) but uninspiring menu for this (purported) level of venue and vastly overpriced for the level of quality / sophistication delivered - we ate just the once. Expected better from a Marriott brand. Most evenings (of a 9 day stay) we ate outside the hotel for a much better eating experience.
Location, Location, Location. One of the few resorts in Noumea itself with private beach access. This is why you go there. Sit in the sun, guest reserved day beds & towels and swim off the beach. Sunsets to die for. Room was a good size, well appointed. The resort was trying hard with music options in the main bar, "Lattitude 22°" (pianist, solo guitar, singer and the like) but the entertainment coincided with meal times. After dinner would have been a better option for this type of entertainment. Weekend music at the beach bar was a good idea, and made for a good atmosphere. Watching the Kite Surfers off Pointe Magnin was a blast! The staff were very friendly and managed with my lack of French.

New Zealandslightly larger sun umbrellas at the pool, sun can be very hot and sunprotection is necessary.
Room was spacious, we had 2 king singles. Small balcony with garden view. Aircon nice and quiet. No complimentary water in room but water was available from a cooling unit next to the elevators. Small fridge in room barely kept your drinks cold. Walk-in shower and separate bath. Very good breakfast. Large pool area but hard to find shade/sun protection. Plenty of subumbrellas but these were a bit small to create enough shade/sunprotection. Nice grassy area next to the beach. Snorkels avaiable at no cost. Good service from bar area. Great restaurant for bar snacks and proper lunch or dinner.

Pool, location, view from the room, helpful and friendly staff. Perfect spot, to do kitesurfing 😎🤙 They also kept my luggage while I went away. Even if I didn’t stay at the hotel when I returned.

New ZealandIt’s expensive for what it is but there aren’t alot of options in Noumea. The food and drink at the bar / restaurant is also very expensive. We had breakfast included and ate in town or went to supermarket for all other meals. The headboard in the room was covered in stains. The outdoor furniture to the room was covered in rust so you couldn’t use it without staining your clothes. The service was hit and miss, depended on who you got at reception. They don’t explain anything about the facilities or offer any help. An example was no one told us we had a 20,000 resort credit that we could use during our stay. There’s no information in the room about the hotel or facilities (breakfast time, pool towels etc). Only one English tv channel (BBC) and no smart tv - not a major unless you get a stormy inside day. They wouldn’t let us check in early, at 2:53pm we were told to come back in 7 minutes for the 3pm check in time - seemed odd.
It’s a nice location, easy walk to the main strip, restaurants and shops. Beach is nice. We stayed in an ocean view room, the room was large and bathroom was nice (it was same as the photos). Breakfast is nice with heaps of options. There are plenty of loungers around the pool and at the beach.

AustraliaCleanliness of the rooms. The inside of our bathroom door was dirty....previously splashed with something. The bedhead in our room and that of our daughters had stains on them. Supplies of tea, coffee, shower gel etc. in our rooms were not replaced without us having to ask for them. The room cleaners didn't seem to have stock so we had to ask at reception and/or share both rooms supplies. There doesn't seem to be any standardised check for bedroom cleaning, sometimes we got extra towels and bath mat, other times towels were taken and not replaced, so we had to go ask for them. Difficult to get information on what to do in the area. Finding such information through electronic ads and internet searches is cumbersome and comparisons are difficult. No movie channel. With breakfast replacing finished food was very slow.
The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. The internet was excellent. Pool area is beautiful and well run. Excellent supply of towels. Breakfast was good. Very impressed with the one chef that was doing all the egg variations and pancakes on her own for a very busy restaurant. The pillows. Distance from the village. It's an easy walk to various restaurants, shops and the aquarium.
