The refrigerator did not keep items cool ,it also leaks, problem with the toilet that were taken care of

Outdoor kitchen did not have cabinets in room #29, which allowed for bats to leave droppings on surfaces and plates. We got very sick on day 2 of our 9 day vacation and were still sick for two weeks after. Tests proved this was the cause. It ruined the vacation. Management needs to install cabinets in all outdoor kitchen areas to prevent sickness. Also we had to buy coffee filters from management. Zero supplies in the kitchen for guests to use, I guess they strip out all items after each person vacates - very inconvenient.

Location was great! Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

This is an old property and needs as lot of work which they obviously don’t have. I guess 2 years of COVID has taken a lot out of their budget. However they were nice people and deserve to come through this.

upon arrival the room had a strong mildew smell that took 4 of our 7 days to air out. the AC unit needed maintenance (it worked but was dirty & 75 noisey) It was the beginning of the season and they did not ready the room. The pool was not usable for the 1st 4 days due to algae & maintenance work. the TV did not work. they said it would be repaired but did not happen. the ceiling fans did not work. the coffee maker did not work (was very rusty from being in an outdoor kitchen) the doors did not seal so we had bugs. They are constructing additional rooms but should be doing maintenance, and repairs and updating on the existing rooms.

the location was great. the basic layout of the room was good. they did have a refrigerator to keep our purchased water cold. the ocean view was great as we were on the 3rd floor. the staff was friendly.

The kitchen was not very well equipped, had to ask for a toaster, hardly any pots, pans, utensils etc. Stove & fridge worked fine but quite old. There was no microwave oven, blender worked but quite old. Chairs around the kitchen table were quite uncomfortable. It seemed rather odd to have a plunge pool right beside the kitchen. The suite would really benefit from some upgrades in the kitchen & bathroom areas.

Very close to beach, (2 minute walk). Very quiet at night. Loungers around the pool were extremely comfortable, pool quite large & clean, a little cooler but very refreshing as it is very hot in Zihuatanejo. The king size bed was very comfortable, air conditioning in the bedroom worked well.

I look forward to seeing what he has done by next year because improvements are fun but construction is not.

It is a smaller place close to the La Rope beach.Covid hit them pretty hard so they have not completed some improvements that had been started. We liked it and most likely will go back next year. We scouted several nearby properties and like this one. It does have stairs to get to the rooms that have a view but I'm 67 and have too much gravitational pull but I did fine with them. Some rooms do not have a view and of course cost less.

Pay more you can find better ..value for location we were satisfied !

No breakfast …tons a walk away . Location excellent ! Owner & family and staff very friendly & accommodating! Was somewhat pricy ! Spent four weeks and we’re satisfied ! Bathroom & shower area very tight ..need new shower head & long time for warm water .. but so hot there a cold shower isn’t so bad !

For us it was very good with a nice Mexican style. Made us fill like we were in Mexico o we were . Ha! Most spoke Mexican did not have to lesson to a gringo.

Is a very rustic hotel. Everything in general was bad. Cold water most of the time. Barely any water from the sink bathroom. Stains on the sheets and towel. Body odor on pillows. There's wifi only in common areas.

I didn’t like that our room was not at all what was pictured on booking.com - on the website only the newly renovated rooms are shown and our room was very dark, tiny, and old and worn down.

I loved the location, very close to the beach. The staff was great and very helpful with everything.

Wifi was a little spotty in my room, but if you are not there to work all day it’s perfectly fine!

I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed! I saw people commenting about things being a little “rustic”, which did worth me a little but the imperfections are what make this place so precious. So there are a couple of cracked tiles here and there, who cares?! You have a perfect location, beautiful views, and the friendliest staff who go out of their way to help you. Cannot recommend Villas Azucenas enough. ¡Mil gracias a todos! Hasta la próxima 🥰 🇲🇽💚🤍❤️

Steps, but in Zihu, they are everywhere! The front desk was not staffed most of the time, had other friendly staff around, but they did not understand English enough to answer questions. The owners were just a phone call away though. Nothing was so bad to prevent us from coming back for 3 weeks in 2023! :-)

We loved the location! A short walk to La Ropa and all the bars and restaurants! Taxi's were right at the corner. The owners were there to greet us when we arrived and very friendly and helpful. I wasn't prepared for 43 steps to our first room with no elevator though! After a couple of days they did move us to another room which cut down 11 steps and was a much better, open room! They moved us at no additional charge. Very accommodating!

The room was dark, no lights bulbs out . When you flushed the toilet the small bathroom flooded, they couldn’t give us a key to open the , they replaced , but did not worth! No towels! The photos don’t look anything like the property! Not even water A place to avoid! Not even worth 59 pesos a night! We have had a home in Mexico for 40 years! Horrible! There should give us a hotel credit for 4 miserable days! We asked a king sized bed and a balcony! They gave us a pitched dark room with keys that didn’t work, the help was accommodating, but what could they do? We als had another Queen sized bed ! 2 people! Thanks
