The hotel is dated; it should be upgraded. The cleaning can definitely be improved. They should really change those towels and bedding. Iron is the rooms, barely worked. There was one waiter in Placer Restaurant that was just out right rude to us and treat us really badly. We ate there 3 times; on the 1st day, we had a late lunch, and that server was really nice. But the 2 breakfast time, the other waiter was just horrible. I corrected him on our order for the wrong juice, and he didn't change it. Then he was charging us wrong, and he had an attitude which I believe led to him treating us badly the next day and refusing to serve us. We walked in, and he refused to attend to us. Even his supervisor noticed and had to force him to serve us. The hotel is overall ok. It's a decent stay, would I rebook? Maybe

Staff was exceptionally polite and very helpful. Location easy to find and get around. They let us leave our car there when we went away on water taxi to San Pedro for a week since we were coming back to stay with them! Definitely will come back for a stay and recommend to our friends and family!

The pool was dirty, the walls in the room were dirty too, the menu in the restaurant was only in spanish and the receptionists spoke only spanish and gave an attitude when we asked if she spoke english. Some were helpful with google translater, some not. You need to sign documents that are also only in spanish. There was no effort to help translate what was on the paper. The check out time on Booking showed 1 pm, but it is actually at 12pm.

Our room was near the elevator and it made a lot of noise making it tough to sleep at night with all the clunking noises.

The restaurant served an amazing breakfast. The location was only a few blocks from the malecon.

The lack of a mini fridge really shocked me. Most places do have such facilities as it's a very useful thing to have in a room. Especially at leisure events.

It was located in a good area in the city. We could easily locate the hotel. It also had parking.

The wifi signal was very poor in the room. We could only get a decent signal in the pool area. Would also recommend that they get one or two English speaking employees and add a mini fridge to each room. That's a good amenity to have and a standard at most hotels we've visited.

The customer service was great! The employees were very courteous and friendly. Facilities were clean and in order. The ambience in the room creates a nice, relaxing scene. Would definitely recommend if you're getting away from the hustle and bustle and just wanna unplug and unwind.

The AC did not cool fully. The pillows were not soft enough, and they could have offered more pillows.

The rooms were nice and clean. It was relatively close to the center of Chetumal, so we could move around easily. The beds were firm.
