In wind, the thatch in the cabana was shedding debris onto the bed. There was a hole in the thatch as well. Water was often not in service. Restaurant patrons were often very noisy late in the evening so disturbing for residents.

Restaurant was excellent and breakfast good. Clean pool. Very courteous staff.

Water supply and we recommend mosquito nets around the bed.

Privacy, tucked away in a great location. Great restaurant serving good food and drinks. Friendly staff, the whole team were so warm and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Cocos and the saxophone player on Sunday night was a great vibe.

It was a bit hard to find as we arrived by here car. There's no direct access tp the beach, but you'll get to it by a small detour.

A nice little place for couples who doesn't want or need a big hotel. The staff is really friendly and you feel welcome and appreciated. They serve great food and have a wood fired oven to make great pizza!

we love this little diamond of hotel. Small and very friendly. The owner is there to ensure the well being of everyone. The room are very clean, well decorated and you have everything and more than you need. I love the fact that they have dispenser for soap, shampoo and conditioner and no small plastic bottles. The food is delicious, and you have to try their pizza OMG, so good!

No windows in the room - sometimes we really missed it, but did not seem a big problem all in all. There can be Wifi issues, but we did not stay at the hotel too much, coming for sleepover only. Place can be very noisy if some of your neighbours decide to come at late night - you will hear everything.

Really great for it's value! Manager Silvia was very nice. Breakfast is not very reach, but there was everything you need. Also enjoyed neing alone at the breakfast at the morning. This is also a great place for dinner, food is delicious! You have an access to the beach, which is comfy.

Couldn't fault the place. Bit disappointed with the seaweed along the coast so we didn't manage to win in the sea.

Lovely little place around 4k from the centre of Playa Del Carmen, not a lot else around apart from large hotels. Short walk to the beach, there was one beach bar on the beach. You would need a car if you were staying for any length of time. The cabanas were lovely rooms, large comfy bed. Food at the restaurant was amazing. We didn't have a car so walked up towards the highway a few times, around 25 mins walk to nearest shops and restaurants. We got a collective to Puerto Morelos one day, again it was a round half hour walk to the centre from the highway. Well worth a visit. Walked to PDC one day along the beach, busy bustling tourist trap, got a taxi back, not cheap but there are also collectivos that go along the highway. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

There is nothing not to like! If the property was directly on the beach, it might be better. As it is, there is only a short walk to the shore.

Our host, Silvia, and her staff have thought of every detail to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The artistic finishing touches in the cabana and dining area are particularly attractive. Evert staff member was friendly and charming. We were delighted by the tropical landscaping and romantic lighting. The menu is beautifully prepared and presented. Our stay was a highlight of our time in Mexico.

Other reviews mention that the salt water shower was an issue but that didn’t matter to us at all.

Cocos is a quiet little gem tucked among the trees. Our room was adorable with a skylight shower and thatched ceiling. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was top notch.

Exotic place you will not in in Europe, good for relax and strand holiday

Surroundings of hotel are not meant for a nice walk (except on the beach), neither there is no supermarket or other bar/food place close by. Only normal option is to take taxi to Playa del Carmen (20 USD one way), which is quit a crowded touristic place where there is much entertainment in the evenings. Breakfast is basic and 3 different warm foods offering each day, but quantities are limited but changing each day

a small compact exotic place with a round cabanas & straw roofing, Very good restaurant is within the place, especially fish (tuna and fresh catch) are recommended, with cocktail, tips, price around 800-1000 MXN pp. Pizze also good and locally prepared. Beach closeby via a closed fench (key provided by hotel) Beach is very nice but have some rocks in the white sand, walking barefoot is no problem, but keep eyes open. Pubic beach is max 50mtr with some shadow places, if you want sunbed and shadow there is need for daypass with beach hotel ( 700 MXN+) for which the amount you can use for drinks/food. Public beach is also in front of beachhotels, so you can easily walk on the beach for long time and if you are lucky you can see some weddings in one of the nice beach clubs ( we noticed 2 weddings)

Location is too remote to walk to the city or any other eatery. No ATM in a walking distance. If you want to go pretty much anywhere only with a taxi.

Just a minor point: the water in the shower was a bit salty

Excellent resort with great location in the center of Playa del Carmen Beach, very clean & comfortable. Our bungalow, Amarillo, was quiet, spacious and well presented. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff of Sandy. On check-out, she made our trip more relaxed by keeping our luggages until late evening. The beach is literally within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this resort to everybody! It's a true sample of great hospitality. Thank you again Sandy for going just that little step extra for us as guests!!! 10 out of 10.

The roof and windows of the cabana let a lot of sound and noise through.

The food was great! The location itself has a nice, cozy feel to it. The beach is a short stroll from the location. Cocos can provide a chair at the beach, but no service at the beach. However, the MVNGATA hotel next door will gladly serve you at the beach. If you prefer Coco's own cocktails and lunch, you can enjoy those at the pool at Coco's. The manager is awesome and can help you arrange things for your stay
