A tiny complaint. There are several steps, including into your shower, that are not marked well and we all tripped a few times. A little color band or something to denote the step would have helped.

Very good breakfast in a lovely garden setting. Attentive staff made sure we had the individual breakfast we wanted.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Centrally located; walking distance to restaurants, shops and attractions. Breakfast was delicious, well served. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff; personalized service. Attention to detail at its best. Would love to return if the opportunity arises.

unfortunately when we arrived you could not get to the road. it was completely ripped up with loud backhoe construction going on. not the hotel’s fault but they should’ve alerted guests attempting to arrive

breakfast was simple but fine. very convenient location for center of city sites and restaurants. staff were very friendly and helpful. extremely quiet and relaxing atmosphere. lovely, lovely place.

Absolutely nothing - as close to perfection as you’ll get.

Absolutely everything - this hotel is utterly flawless. from the moment we checked in we were thrilled - car park next door, tamarind margarita on arrival - through to a simply extraordinary hotel that genuinely mesmerised us. Our room, the patio room Toño, was glorious so I can only imagine the others are too. Pool was a wonderful addition and I haven’t even discussed service - brilliant, attentive and incredibly discreet. Friends of ours stayed here and advised it was the highlight of Merida - we have to agree. Key details - spotless, effective AC, lots of space - stunning.

The only suggestion I have is to add few more cooked options at breakfast but other than that I can't fault it.

Hotel Lecanda was a peaceful retreat to come back to escape city life. You feel like you are in a little oasis in the middle of Merida. The pool and general decor of the hotel are stunning and the staff make you feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the homemade cakes were delicious. We had a fantastic stay in this hotel and was a wonderful place to relax.

We only spent pne night there, a saturday, and a nearby club had music at extreme high volume until 2.30am. It was impossible to sleep. After talking to the staff, it seems like this is not the rule, and we were just unlucky, but cross check on this one if you are spending the weekend there.

Not much we didn’t like about the property. While the breakfast was delicious, perhaps it could have been more varied from one day to the next.

The breakfast was splendid. Each day we sat in a different spot, incredibly romantic. The staff was incredibly kind and they did a great job assisting us making reservations or coordinating taxi pick up. We will definitely go back!

There really isn't much bad to say about this place. There was a leak in our shower that saw some water encroach into our room, but as soon as we told them, they were on it and had it fixed by the time we got back. If that was the worst thing, they're doing an amazing job.

Casa Lecanda is an adults-only oasis in the center of Merida. About two blocks away from the main boulevard and a short walk to the shops in the old town, it was central to everything and we were never forced to take a taxi anywhere we wanted to go. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, ready to accommodate any need. The free breakfasts are amazing and served at your table - Not buffet style like many other "Breakfast Included" hotels. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to welcome you too. From the free welcome drink, to the fabulous pool service, to the turndown service with chocolates at night. No detail is missed. The rooms are large, comfortable and each is individually furnished so you don't feel like you're staying in a hotel, but more like in a friends grand casa. There is not enough good I can say about this property. We will be back!

Such a beautiful hotel hidden in the middle of central Merida. Situated in a gorgeous but well-kept colonial building with a courtyard. Very nice free breakfast. Fantastic staff who provided my girlfriend with a surprise chocolate and fruit plate on her birthday. They organized our covid test before returning to the states very smoothly. Couldn’t recommend enough.
