Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWifi could have been better and you are in the jungle so expect power cuts. Our room would have benefited from more windows to let natural light in too. Other than that, cant fault the place. Would definitely return.
The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The fridge was a huge help, the staff were amazing, the breakfast was lovely, and the location was perfect.

DenmarkNothing to dislike
Though the hotel is aimed at travellers with a car as the accommodation is right above the garage, you can easily get to the place without a car. It involves an 800m or 15 min walk through a pastoral landscape to the main road where there are frequent 'cooperative ' busses that will take you to Palenque or the archaeological site for 25 pesos, which I preferred to taking a taxi to and from the hotel. As others have told, the couple running the place are very pleasant together with their 4 year old girl.

GermanyDirt road to the hotel is difficult to drive, especially if it is raining. Bad WiFi.
Proximity to Maya Ruins, security for the car by having an own garage with direct access to the room, great breakfast in the middle of the jungle

The setting of this hotel is absolutely forgeous. Fro. The main road you have to drive for about 5 -10 minutes to the hotel. On one side there are fields and cows. On the other side is a creek and lush jungle. You can hear and see animals: we saw a colibrí, Guacamaya's and leaf cuttinv ants. There Re also gecko's (who eat the mosquitoes) and butterflies. You will have your own garagebox and annex (spacious) room. It is very clean and well equipped. The staff is wonderful. Do let them know when you arrive as they will wait for you. They make a wonderful fresh breakfast, truly delicious with fruits and yoghurt and pineapple juice. We aske for laundry service in the village but they arranged it for us, although we only stayed for 2 nights. That was so nice. I truly recommend staying here if you visit Palenque. It is very close to the village (15 minutes by car) and 10 minutes by car to the ruins. It is right next to Aluxes, an ecopark (wort visiting) and several restaurants. So you dont have to go into town. Thank you Autohotel Paraiso Inn: it was an amazIng experience to stay with you!

MexicoThe air conditioner did not cool as well as we would have liked. When we arrive, it was about 100 degrees F (close to 38 C) in Palenque, but the A/C had not been turned on prior to our arrival, so it was extremely hot inside the room. The A/C unit was unable to keep up with the heat. We were very warm, even at night.
This was the cleanest hotel room I have ever seen. It was impeccably clean! The beds were very comfortable, and we loved having the secure, closed garage since we were traveling with all our belongings.

LatviaIt’s a very simple place. Should have no expectations.
we stayed for two nights. the host was very helpful and responsive. the room was cleaned the next morning. dirt road leading to the property wasn’t as bad as described in other reviews. It’s a good place to stay if you are out most of the day. Otherwise, there is not much to do.

FranceThe road that leads to the hotel is very bumpy. This location should be avoided with someone pregnant or with back pain.
. The room are large and very practical with the garage underneath them. The location is very calm, you'll wake up surrounded by nature. Breakfast was ok but not exceptional. It's very close to the archeological site of Palenque. The staff is very attentive to what you need though they speak little English.

PolandEverything, especially the kindness of Mr. Carlos and his team, that showed a great care for us. The experience itself was great with an amazing breakfast on a beautiful garden. The place was very close to Palenque ruins and to Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls access road, on a secluded and safe area, with private garage and a big room.

AustraliaThis place was perfect for us traveling by car with two dogs. We only stayed one night en-route to San Cris, but it really blew us away. The location and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The jacuzzi was much appreciated (cool) after the long drive. It was such a peaceful place - they have a great communal area where breakfastbis served. The staff were so friendly and professional. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Huge comfy King beds.
