Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceRooms are a bit dark, I guess it is because we were in the lower floor.
The view from the hotel is great. The common areas are very nice, the half board option is good. Try the restaurant with the Mauritian food, very good and cosy, which is included in the half board option. The breakfast and dinner have a lot of options, for the dinner you have a mix of meals from Mauritius, European and Asian styles. The hotel proposes also a boat trip to Île aux Cerfs, or a snorkeling trip in front of the hotel, it is included in the price you pay. It is good to book in advance the boat trips to make sure you have a spot.

FinlandFood wasn't that good.
Staff was extremely nice and room was good. First night we had dinner at the different restaurant than the so called basic hotel dinner place, and it was quite allright! They have a departure lounge and they let us use the hotel area the hole day before we left.

AustraliaTropical attitude was fantastic. The staff, the food, the overall vibe - it’s exactly what we wanted for a tropical holiday. We loved home Mauritian culture was infused across the resort and we felt we had so many options for activities and food. Would 100% book again!

DenmarkThe resort is becoming somewhat run-down and could benefit from maintenance, particularly regarding the locks on the room doors. They are not functioning properly. We encountered difficulties entering and exiting our room, and observed other guests experiencing similar issues. Unfortunately, it seemed that the resort did not address this matter seriously, leaving us to figure out a workaround ourselves.
Good selection at breakfast buffet. The resort is right on the coast but the beach is not for swimming from. Ok freindly staff. If youe counting on eating in Trou d´ Eau Douce there are only 3 restaurants. The rest are basically snack bars.

United KingdomEvening buffet was rather bland - would have liked more curries or similar. Checking into restaurant and being shown to seats could be better. Often had to find our own table and when busy wait for table to be cleaned
Room and general facilities good. Appreciated free boat to Isle du Cerf. Staff friendly. Nice pool and sufficient seating round pool or by the sea

Mauritius• Lunch given for picnic at Île au cerfs was left to be desired. • Hotel has no beachfront. • Hotel is quite small.
• Food was delicious, lots of choices available at the buffet. • Hotel staffs are nice, friendly and helpful. • There is a free boat shuttle to Île aux cerfs everyday. • We had the villa, the privacy is what we wanted and it was what we got! Private pool with a quiet relaxing area. • Room was clean and well maintained by our housekeeping lady (Kamini), who does really cute towel folding :)

South AfricaWe were on the all-inclusive package. The food at Bor La Mer was not great, very limited variety for a 3*+ rating. The best meals we had were on supplement for Christmas gala and the lobster dinner. The drinks were inconsistent, you would have a Mojito, and it never tasted the same, it was usually way too strong, even if you asked your waiter for just a "normal" drink. It was only when we ordered the alcohol and mixer separately that we could control the strength of our drinks. It was not our first time in Mauritius during December and the rain season, but there was a big mosquito problem at the resort.
We upgraded to a garden suite, and it was extremely comfortable. The initial room we had was dark and musty. Kot No and TabaJay were very good.

BrazilThe breakfast could be better. No sweet options. To schedule the massage could be better, you have to wait for the only employee to do the massage and to book for you, I think the hotel could help with that. The boat to island, Amazing! But would be nice to have more time available to go and go out of the island
Beautiful view. Boating trip to Ilex aux Cerfs for free Nice swimming pool

UkraineSelection of food for dinner was a bit boring, I would not take half board. The location of the hotel is good if you want to explore the area, cause the is no beach in front + it is located right behind the cemetery.
Hotel is amazing for 3 stars! I think it's one of the best 3 stars I have been. Nice territory, rooms, spa facilities. The personnel were amazing

United KingdomWe thought that the bar was a little small, a little dated, and not particularly well designed for the staff or customers. A redesign would be nice. I struggled a bit with the food sometimes as there wasn't always a good selection of vegetarian food, but I understand that had I asked the chef for something in particular, he would have happily made it for me, I just don't like to make a fuss! I also struggled to get a fresh decaf coffee most of the time, which I really missed, because caffeine makes me ill. That's quite common though wherever you go, so just a minor thing. The room was lovely but a little tired in places. These are all pretty minor things though and more suggestions than complaints, as we did really enjoy our stay.
The hotel is positioned on the bay, which was beautiful. The hotel has a very chilled, relaxed vibe and I admire their efforts to recycle and minimise use of plastics. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nazimah created some amazing animal towel creations, which were fun to discover every day. We had a fabulous massage from the ladies in the spa...so relaxing! Alice in the boutique, in particular, was very kind and empathetic after a recent bereavement and I really enjoyed my chats with her and a goodbye hug when we left, which I really appreciated. The restaurant manager even arranged for some sandwiches to take to the airport on our way home. Again, such a helpful and kind thing to do for us. The staff make the hotel!

PolandGym is useless :( Maybe you can think about something more proper so someone can use it. Also ping-pong equipment is in bad condition. Very pity that snorkeling is only once per day, it’s not so easy to fit into schedule.
Very nice and calm place to stay in Mauritius! Rooms are big, well equipped and comfortable. Variety of food and great staff make your memories amazing :) A huge advantage of taking care of the planet, not use plastic etc. it makes me feel very good to be a part of it :) Plenty of things to do at the hotel and organizes by the hotel. Special greets for VIKASH :)

PolandWifi was not working for 5 days. Breakfast was quite poor, monotonous with not the most variety. We tried dinner at the hotel restaurant once and it was a big disappointment, food was completely tasteless
Beautiful, quiet, eco-friendly hotel in a calm, lovely area. View from the room was spectacular, overlooking the turquoise ocean. Deepa , our cleaning lady, did the best job every single day, the room was always spotless. Staff was very nice and helpful. Three activities such as snorkelling or boat to Ile aux Cerfs were awesome advantages. But the most important thing, Fifi the dog.She absolutely made our stay at the Tropical Attitude. Huge thanks to the hotel for treating her with such a good care
