Spectacular hotel in a gorgeous location! This hotel has it all. The food is superb, the aesthetic is gorgeous, the pools are big, there are tropical birds everywhere. I thoroughly recommend it. My wife even liked the stray dogs. You can access boat trips from the beach.

No elevators to the rooms, it’s a massive resort where you can get lost, building and rooms are rather tired, they need a retouch. I guess for that price they aren’t bad, but they could do with a mini renovation and deeper cleaning. The dinner at the main restaurant was also rather bad - directed at children who like bad food than adults with a refined taste. The beach is also not that good - feels like an artificial lake with stagnant water. I can see why families looking for a budget stay would stay there but it’s also far from everything: u basically have to stay in the resort and spend ur entire vacation from pool to pool eating pizza and burgers.

It is very hard to get reservations for the restaurants. If you go for a short stay, chances are the speciality restaurants will be fully booked all the time.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Ravenala. The resort is beautiful and has a wonderful layout, with gorgeous swimming pools and beach area. The kids club was lovely for the kids and the food was generally really good!

Beach was enough dirty. Staff clean pools in the morning, when people are in it. Staff cleaned our room just about 4 p.m.

Beautiful grounds and great facilities. The staff are exceptional in all areas of the hotel. Selvana was our check in host. She arranged for a cake for my husbands birthday and they arranged for us to moor our boat on their jetty for the night. The room was lovely and quiet. The food was good too.

Would've liked slippers robes & hair conditioner provided in room. Think bottled drinking water should have been provided in room rather than paying for it in onsite shop. Likewise at dinner.

After 2 days the drain was smelling bad. Perhaps it was because of the rain. Compared to the public beaches this beach was very small.

I would have liked a selection of wine-by-the-glass that has more options that just South African wine.

Only had one disappointing meal at the O Restaurant (many others to choose from that were great), and the toilet area in the bathroom was tiny.

Beautiful grounds, a great room and lots of options for things to do, especially down on the beach area. The all inclusive package turned out to be excellent value. The food was mostly really great, especially the breakfast! Overall lots of great seafood options, beautiful cheese, yummy cocktails and fresh fruits. We were able to organise baby sitting really easily through the hotel, and enjoyed the family friendly feel of the hotel, without it being a place that was overrun with kids areas. It was lovely having the pool areas but also a nice beach to swim at.

The food is basic but plenty on offer. Also the bar should stay open later then 11pm as no alcohol available apart from wine and beer which isn't great for guests who pay all inclusive. Evening entertainment is nice but pretty much the same thing every night and could have more variety.

Beautiful resort with everything you need. Swimming pools are massive and lots of space for sunbathing. Beach is small but has a lot of lounging areas and the boathouse activities are great. Room was lovely and clean, spacious and well furnished. Loved the seaview and swing. We would definately return to this hotel. Thank you to Ishmail who made our stay very memorable.
