Food quality and the extremely high cost!

We had the best two nights in a long time! Very attentive staff and deep focus on details. The food, from breakfast to dinner, was very lacking though. However, we did enjoy the mixed meat platter! The price was also over the top compared to other resorts of similar standards.

Nothing - naturally it is expensive

Simply outstanding - we stayed in another luxury resort on the island and it was like the Oberoi was playing in a different league. Stunning scenery, great layout, perfect rooms, beautiful beach and fantastic staff. Did a special babymoon celebration for my wife and was overall extremely helpful. Restaurants were great and the resort was not too busy giving you a truly luxurious experience.

Staying at the hotel was a really nice experience. Staff are all helpfully and friendly, beach very besutiful , all facilities are available, and rooms are very nice and clean and food very delicious. It was an unexceptional stay.

The hotel is quiet and calm. The staff is amazing. Kind and very nice. The food at breakfast was amazing, with all kind of smoothies and fruits. Also available a menu card for order. The beach was great to swim also clean. The concierge was super helpful and very knowledgeable about how to spend our time actively. The room services is also great. The cleaning was greatly appreciated by us, as whatever needs we had they were reacting fast and polite.

The team at the Oberoi are phenomenal. We were constantly impressed by how kind and helpful all of the team are and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. We also loved the location, the restaurants and the relaxed feel of the resort.

I found the restaurant a bit pricey but totally worth it!

The water, facilities, the staff, the service was exceptional, you can ask them for any preferences. There are quiet and public spots to sit in. There’s always something happening if you want to enjoy. The activities are mostly complementary unless they are further away in the water, there are yoga classes everyday. Live music in the evening.. it was relaxing and quiet. Every single detail is well thought out. Loved it!

There wasn’t much not to like. We were a bit disappointed by free Netflix being advertised, only to find that this has been discontinued - and would have appreciated a smart TV in the room. We opted in for the Herb Trail meal on our first night - it was delicious but not better or too different to our normal half board meals.

Incredible service, and staff to guest ratio. We felt very cared for throughout our stay. Beautiful rooms and property, delicious food (The Restaurant was our favourite), and we especially enjoyed all of the watersports activities at the boat house - learning how to waterski was a huge plus! We really loved how private our stay felt - it’s a big resort but we had plenty of space to ourselves throughout. We had a late flight and really appreciated being able to check out late.

1) the main restaurant was not as good as the others 2) the charging for water over lunch/dinner when it was free for breakfast, in the room and in the gym, felt unnecessary - especially as the food and drink was expensive in the resort (double that of London) 3) the lack of hand towels in the toilets throughout the resort was very much not in keeping with the rest of the organisation of the hotel

Customer service was excellent generally. The food quality in 3 of the restaurants was very good. The overall resort was very peaceful. We visited a couple of other resorts whilst staying on the island and found the Oberoi to be the best.
