Amazing host and staff, so helpful and accomodating. Lovely food. Close enough to the beach, but a bit far away from restaurants if you dont want to eat at the hotel every night.

More of a mismatch, maybe we should have checked better on the map, but people may think the place it's minutes away by walk from the main beaches, but you actually need a car or you have to get a bus. We had a car so we actually had no problem with that.

Friendly and easy going staff, if you need advice or have a problem or some request they will happily serve you. The bar inside the place adds some points up because the area (at least in February) is not really "alive" so enjoying a drink in a cozy bar under your room feels really good.

Breakfast was a bit basic, the same breads, jams and fruit every morning, would become boring after a few days. Lovely omelets though and very good coffee.

there are no rugs on the bedroom and one has to use the towels as side rugs. if you can also incorporate tea and coffee in the rooms as one wakes up early and want to have the first coffee cup in bed.

Room was bit dark, but ok size wise. Shower is open, resulting in water going everywhere. Also causing damage to the wooden door and furniture. Needs repairs. Fridge was old and dirty. Repairs all around are done in bits and pieces. Which makes them very visible. No toiletries. Bed is very hard, pillows very flat. Breakfast had good, fresh bread and fruits, but is way too limited. Four days of bread, butter and jam is a bit boring. Would not cost the world to add some slices of cheese, ham, a boiled egg... Good coffee though.

It would have been nice if they had a parking lot but the area is very secure and they have a guard at night time so parking my vehicle along the road was not really a problem.

Well situated, not far from the seaside and other facilities. Breakfast was good. Owners and staff were extremely nice and adjusted to my requests.

i didnt like an unexpected cyclone as you are not allowed to move anywhere. The host though was very accommodating to allow us to check out and wait at the hotel until the authorities gave the all clear later that evening

The breakfast was adequate for us as it had the necessary requirements a breakfast offers. The staff do take pride in their work and offer any assistance they can to make the breakfast a pleasant experience. The place is 3km away from Grand Baie and easy to get there by bus at a cost of 17 rupees. The place has a great bar and a greater bartender right beside a clean and beautiful pool.

The location is awful. You need a car or use a bus to go to the nearest beach. The rooms are dirty, they say that rooms have a terrace, but it's far from that. The rooms don't have basic stuff in one word empty. The bathroom is not separated from the bed room, so when you shower, everything is wet. Owners are very ignorant, they don't provide service as to be expected. All the listed items on booking.com, that supposed to be in the room are not!

Very bare facilities. The room was ok. Fridge was not working well and every time we had to wipe the water leaking from the fridge. Very poor lighting. It was clean. For what you are paying, it was very poor value for money.

I didn't felt secure at the property and way too much noise as the room was not isolated properly due to the doors. I was placed in room 2 on the ground floor between 2 bars and in front of the stairs with a wooden door with 3cm space from the bottom, which makes it impossible to find peace even if my doors was closed. The kitchen was next to it, and I could hear everything from them and when people walks by the door or talk, and it did not matter when, during the day. The place was not clean when I arrived and the pool either, lots of leaves everywhere. I asked for a change of the room straight when I arrived, I was told it was fully booked. I wrote and explain my issues on my 2nd day as I couldn't sleep, I didn't feel heard, just excuses that it is a guest house and its normal than people talked, and sorry to hear that my personal issues is affected in a sault of way of saying if I had to translate French to English. I believe I have been extremely polite and addressed myself to the owner for the MULTIPLE issue I encountered during my stay, but in my book, this room should not be rent at all. I stayed as I was not allowed a refund and I couldn't bear another change from my first wonderful stay from a great place. I was in mauritius to rest and recharge and see my family, so sleeping was extremely important for me. I will definitely not go back to sous le badamier, it doesn't matter how sweat Sarah tried to be and the other staff. I was not taken into consideration for the best of my stay and it is in my perspective a good reason to never choose this place again. I just wish that they have taken my points into consideration and ameliorate the room if they want to rent it for next time. I believe it was because of that room if other people has enjoyed their stay there. I choosed it as they had great reviews. I would not add all the other small things that I believe they can do better, I said it already before.

We had a mouldy pillow on arrival, although it was replaced immediately. There were quite a few broken things in our room, toilet door could not be locked, the toilet cistern dripped constantly, the flushing button was difficult to operate, and one of the power sockets was malfunctioning. None of this really mattered or was essential for our stay, but for the price you would expect a little more attention to detail. The walls are thin and if there are people in the restaurant/bar you hear everything - most of the time it is a laid-back vibe though. Bring earplugs just in case...

Spacious, comfortable bed, good breakfast, AC worked well. Friendly people. Easy to find if you have a car. Near to some excellent touristy beaches. There is a sushi bowl joint around the corner at which we had some of the best food on the island.

The room was a bit like a youth hostel aside from the odd minor embellishment (designer lights and some upholstery). There is zero sound proofing so the fact that there is a bar downstairs means that you are subjected to the noise from it. I was probably unlucky in being there on a night when “shouty” singalongs were the entertainment of preference….

The common parts were nicely done, and the proprietor was friendly
