Limited access to wider grand baie as road is very busy with no pavement or pedestrian route. Service at breakfast very slow - have to wait a long time for tea and coffee - would be better if could serve yourself. Lots about being an eco hotel but air con keeps being put on in bedrooms when it’s not needed at all. We kept having to switch it off which was annoying. Would default to it being off.

Stunning architecture and beautiful lay out. Fantastic beach and sea with excellent water sports. Very comfortable bedrooms and delicious healthy foods at breakfast.

More staff around the pool areas to take drinks and food orders. Faster clean up of plates after a meal. The traffic was a bit noisy near the residences however the size of the room outweighed warranting having to move because of this.

Lux Grand Baie is good value for money as the residence rooms are big and spacious - the only drawback was the noise from the traffic on the road. The food is of a very high standard and probably the best we have had in Mauritius after staying in 5 star resorts. The staff are very helpful and friendly however there could have been more service around the pool areas.

3 restaurants, all were amazing! Gym and spa very nice, spa a lttile bit expensive but great experience. Great water sport activities, most are free. 3 pools all nice. Highly recommended

Loud music playing in front of the restaurant during the day sometimes disturbed. Some dishes are very hotly seasoned and it would be good to mention that when ordering or to indicate in the menus.

Overall an excellent hotel. Not too big and not too small. The swimming pool area is clean and there are enough sunbeds. Access to the beach is easy. Also a well-equipped GYM whose personal trainers' services are worth using. The varied and healthy breakfast that encourages healthy choices also deserves an mention.

Automatic switching on and off of the shutters and lights was a headache. The quality of some dishes in Ai KISU restaurant could be improved.

Amazing 10/10 trip. Staff went above and beyond. Hotel was the best we have ever stayed in, they had thought of everything. Head chef was amazing as my fiance is gluten free and he prepared all of her food separately and amended dishes at breakfast and dinner. Food was beautiful in the main restaurant and exceptional in the in-house Japanese. Pool areas and beach prestine.

The only problem is that the hotel is so good, it made the rest of the island seem not as good. When going outside the hotel for dinner/drinks, we often deciuded to go back to the hotel for desert/drinks as the chefs are just amazing and the service is what you want on holiday. There's a lot of reviews commenting on the price. it is on the more expensive side to stay, eat, drink, but what you are getting is a higher standard in all areas. It's not a budget hotel and there is a Lux down the road which is also nice and less cost if that is a concern... With this hotel you get that feeling of exclusivity and luxury. Not loads of screaming kids running around and drunken stag parties. The most relaxing stay we have had in years.

Everything. The breakfast, the food in the restaurants, the pool areas, the general attention to detail is like nothing ive seen before. The staff were all so warm and helpful. The valet staff were so efficient. My wide loved the spa, not my thing but it looked beautiful inside. it was our honeymoon and every person went over and above to make sure we were happy and well looked after. They included a complimentry wedding package, which was also a nice touch. The breach is arguably the best beach on the island. we drove around to see them all and got back to realise we had it pretty good where we were staying. Id go as far as to say our meal in the japanese restaurant is up there with one of the best i've had. exceptionally good, and convenient with it being in the hotel.

The only thing we didn't love was how quiet and rather "boring" it was. Since this is a rather expensive stay, there is not too many young people like us, how'd love a chat and a few drinks at the pool bar but that was not an option. I dont think I ever heard any noice coming from another guest besides at breakfast :-D wich is too bad because they actually do have a club in the hotel wich has pretty nice sound and laser shows as well but when we went to check it out there was not a single person.

The facility is phenomenal, very luxurious and newly build. The staff is absolutely amazing and we felt like queen and kind. Thanks again for that you lovely people. The pool areas, restaurants as well as the beach are simply superb. A range of water activities such as water ski, wind surfing, boat and snorkelling trips are included free of charge with your stay, wich I find amazing. The breakfast was nothing but delicious with various choices from cold cuts and juices, fruits, French cheese, pastries etc. you can go pick yourself and a menu you can order whatever kind of eggs, or other sweet and savoury options you'd like. I was simply impressed by that and I have travelled quite a lot. As for the restaurants I do know they have a few different ones but we never got to try them because we explored the night life vibe of Gand Baie and had very delicious sea food dinners there (probably for a fifth of the hotel price too but that's just what it is with a lux hotel like this). We are looking very forward to come back again at some point :-)
