My husband and I stayed at Shangri-La Le Touessrok in Mauritius for nine nights, from May 8th to May 17th, 2024, in the Frangipani Suite (half board). Our experience was exceptional. Exceptional Service The hotel is modern and impeccably clean. The service is extraordinarily personal, with staff going above and beyond to ensure guest comfort. Every request was promptly fulfilled. Warm Welcome Upon arrival, we were escorted to a beautiful lobby with comfortable seating and chilled drinks while the check-in process was handled seamlessly, a refreshing change from usual check-in queues. Outstanding Staff Special mentions: Our Butlers: Odesh and Clarel, who ensured we never lacked anything. Iqbal Goolfee (SM Duty Manager), Jessan Kadun (Front Office Manager), Hassen (Guest Relations Manager), and the front office team, including Dinesh and Clarette, who anticipated our needs. Deepak, who was incredibly helpful and informative. Concierge and Activities The concierge team was welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable, handling our booking requests and last-minute cancellations with grace. CHI SPA The CHI SPA is phenomenal, with luxurious facilities and attentive staff, especially Geraldine. The delicious teas and premium L'Occitane toiletries were delightful. Dining Experience The food was outstanding. Le Bazar offered a wide variety of cuisines each evening, with plenty of vegetarian options. Breakfast included fresh South Indian Dosa and Aaloo Parathas. Saffron restaurant served exceptional Indian food, with special thanks to Chef Ahmed, Umesh, and Dev. Recreational FacilitiesThe well-maintained tennis courts and clean swimming pools were impressive. The beach service, including cold water, towels, fresh fruit, and sorbet, was excellent. The white sandy beach was perfect for barefoot walks. Private Island:Shangri-La’s private island, accessible via a short boat ride, is serene and immaculate. The facilities and staff made it an ideal place to relax.

United StatesThe a la carte restaurants are on the small side, which is great to not feel over crowded and resorty once you're in them, but they can be booked up a couple days ahead so recommend booking early.
We don't normally like resorts and tend to prefer smaller boutique hotels - but Shangri La does an exceptional job of feeling spread out and not over crowded, and from start to finish we were provided exceptional service from every member of staff and made us feel incredibly taken care of. The grounds and facilities are gorgeous, somehow one of the most bug-free places we stayed on the island, and we really appreciated that so many of the services were included at no cost - water on the beach, kayak and paddle boards in the lagoon, boats to the private island, little surprise ice creams by the pool, roaming musicians playing requests - they just do an excellent job of making you feel like they want to make the experience worth it and there was no hidden costs every time we wanted to do something. Food was great in all the restaurants and they offed gluten free options regularly to my wife who is coeliac. An exceptional place to stay!

Daily housekeeping was exceptional .. a special thanks to Mr Surajsing and Mr Sanjiv . The restaurants are excellent! The breakfast at the two restaurants is very good and tasty! The breakfast on the beach is just a perfect way to start the day ! Mr Ponnen thank you for the great coffee and care ! The spa is very nice and has trained masseuses, gyms with personal trainers. The live entertainment was excellent and the Happy hour was a great time to meet new people and socialize on the beach .

The island and resort look like an extract from a postcard. It’s like paradise. When we entered the room we couldn’t believe how beautiful the room and scenery looked like. The location is stunning, but it’s really the hotel staff that make the experience unforgettable. Everywhere you go - from restaurants, spa, cleaning, private island etc they make an effort to make sure you’re not missing anything. Kudos to the management and the super hard working people behind it, it feels like you’re embraced by a big family once you’re there day to day. Don’t think twice, the food, the people, the location - everything was incredible. This was one of the best holidays we ever had and definitely the best hotel choice. We’re already dreaming of coming back.
