The balcony was quite small and not really inviting to be used. Guests are reserving sunbeds at the pool for a long time without showing up

The bed was too soft and check-in/reception staff is a little bit uptight, felt like they were not there to make conversation or make you comfortable, it was strictly business. Riwan, however, was very helpful and cared more about guests comfort and overall wellbeing.

The ambience of the hotel is really great. It looks better in real life than in the photos. The pool area, the lobby and the rooms were top quality. It is an amazing place for a great vacation experience. The restaurant staff were exceptionally pleasant, particularly Vinesh, Shib and Med!

Amazing little hotel, much cosier than the usual luxury resorts you may find in Mauritius without bargaining on quality. Hotel’s highlights include: - an amazing breakfast with their own boulangerie producing hot croissants which are better than 90% of the croissants you may find in my hometown of Paris; - very comfortable rooms and beds; - very nice terrasse fully opened on the sea where you can watch the sunset with your feet in grass; - white sand beach at your doorstep; - never a feeling of being crowded. The whole hotel intends to run on a green & renewable policy and most products are locally sourced. Long story short: a must go.

Beds and pillows too soft for my preference. No fridge in the room, no TV, which isn't clear when booking, both of which I expect as standard in a 5*. Filter coffee and black tea were provided free of charge, but no filters to make it. Food very expensive at restaurant, even for 5*.

Decent pool, nice bar and the beach outside was very pretty, staff were friendly and well trained.

Beautiful hotel, really nice and stylish interiors. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Right at wonderful beach. Great breakfasts, very good idea with choice of two dishes from the menu instead of large buffet. Wonderful glass bottom boats snorkeling cruises.

Bathroom in our room was nice but toilet area very small. Service seemed unorganised at times as some activities planned didn’t take place or staff weren’t motivated, although very friendly.

The highest quality pastries, fantastic breakfast, so many options that are lactose-free, vegan or vegetarian friendly. Emphasis on sustainability comes to life in this hotel, and they bring people from the community in the area to share things and sell them, like vanilla… Very clean pool, beautiful bay surrounding hotel. Close snorkelling opportunities and great activities offered by hotel. Warm staff and spa.

Just an overall fantastic experience. Great design of the hotel and room, food was incredible (breakfast choice was really superior), lots of experiences offered (such as sunrise yoga), the beach is great and all necessary facilities and materials on offer. Perfect for a relaxing holiday.

we were starving after an 11 hour flight and an hour and a half drive. Food/snacks menu would have been perfect when we were checking in. We were too wired to relax at that point.

The room needs a renovation. Too many algae to swim in the sea. More warm welcoming approach at the entrance.

The room was basic and nicely setup. The bed was very comfortable. The view on the sea was sooo relaxing. The food so delicious and the waiters and staff doing the extra miles to make our stay special.

Everything! We loved Salt and would highly recommend! The hotel itself is fresh and attractive with bright colours, modern design and plenty of light and space. The hotel beach was beautiful and sun beds were always available. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and cool. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were all inclusive and the food and drinks were all fantastic with loads of choice on the menu, including plenty of Mauritian specialities (much more preferable to a buffet style). The Spa was amazing, the best massage I’ve ever had! Overall a fabulous experience and cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Not really a dislike but the bed was a bit stiff in our rooms. If they used a mattress topper it would help.

The location was ideal to access the beach area near camps bay. Safe and beautiful.

This hotel is sooo beautiful in the most perfect location for east coast. Such good value for money for how beautiful the setting is. I loved the ocean view room and the big white bed that faced the sea - lovely touches around the hotel like free sparkling water tap, sun cream and the staff were so attentive and nothing was a problem!
