Unfortunately without a car it’s really difficult to get somewhere that’s why it’s so peaceful. You can go by bus but that takes time. Otherwise you need to rely on taxi.

The place exceeded our expectations. Firstly, I'd like to mention the location of the accommodation. It's situated in a calm part of the island, close to the most beautiful and peaceful beach and also various shops and restaurants. The surroundings are perfect for relaxation. The apartment itself was very comfortable and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean. Additionally, the breakfast served at the accommodation was delicious and offered a variety of options, including fresh fruits, pastries, and local specialties. It was a great way to start our days of exploring the island. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Throughout our holiday, they took care of our comfort. I have to give a special shout-out to Sabrina, who was amazing. She made it possible for us to check in early which we appreciated so much. She also provided us with tips in the next part of the island. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay in La Gaulette and would definitely return. I recommend this accommodation for those looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in Mauritius.

Everything was wonderful.

The guest house has amazing views of the sea, the decor is beautiful...like a spa retreat without the spa ..very calming and relaxing vibe. The owners were so friendly and gave us so much information about the area , even some history of Mauritius. The ladies name was Sabina and she is extremely nice and went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. There is no TV in the room, but we liked that as we spent more time outside in the amazing surroundings.

The rooms seem a bit dated; the bed was not extremely comfortable, and the AC had its best years already (including water leakage). We had quite an annoying noise coming from above our room, which prevented our sleep the first night until we got accommodated to it.

Very friendly and helpful staff; Sabrina provided us with travel and sight recommendations already before our arrival, and Gregory was very forthcoming in providing us with breakfast even outside of the usual breakfast hours. The food was exceptional in general - breakfast as well as the optional dinner in a comfy environment we enjoyed one day, where we were served even without mandatory booking. The location in La Gaulette is great, not far from quite a few restaurants and bars.

Recenly stayed in Happy Days guest house and we had a wonderful experience there.Every staff member I encountered, from the host to the check- in to the cleaning staff! It was our 3rd place in Mauritius and I can say it was the best one,such a vibe in there:) Big thank you to Sabrina for being super sweet and helpful with everything,thank you so so much for organising helicopter tour.We cannot thank enough to Gregory for an amazing dinners and being so friendly,his cooking skills is just the next level,literally we felt like at home, very cozy and welcome atmosphere.Stayed here for a week and we didn’t go anywhere out for dinner as his cooking were finger licking good! 2 weeks since we are back and we still talking about this place.The room was perfect,enjoyed a lot of sunsets from the terrace.Thank you!Would definitely send a friend there! ❤️

Felt welcome from the 1st day of arrival. Breakfast was absolut perfect to start into the day. A plus was that we were invited to have a dinner at the house. All employees as well as our host were very friendly, gave us a lot of insights regarding surrounding activities. All in all highly recommended to discover the south of Mauritius! We tried several accommodations during our holiday, but Happy Days is the best. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The beds are big and comfortable and the views from the room are amazing. The breakfasts were excellent. It was possible to order dinner at the hotel. Location of accommodation in quiet location, within walking distance of a supermarket and restaurants. A great starting point for various trips. The hotel staff were very nice and professional and special thanks to the owners Sabrina and Jean-Pierre who are very kind, friendly, helpful and will help you with everything.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and the view was amazing. The owners Sabrina and Jean-Pierre are very friendly and helpful, even as the other staff members who made us feel very welcome and taken care of. The breakfast system, very little choice, I didn't know what was on the menu, maybe you should come up with some kind of board where you can write what's on the menu, or just raise the price of the rooms, but make the breakfast better.

I have been travelling a lot a round the world and find places like Happy Days is rare and precious. The sea view is astonishing. Super clean and wifi everywhere. But What makes the stay so perfect were the host and the embiance they create. It is so convenient to have delicious breakfast ready when you wake up. In the evening they often organise BBQ for the guest . Cooking amazing fish. We actually ate at happy house, 3 nights during our stay as it was more fun, cheaper and much better food quality than restaurants . When you return from a long day touring the island and an amazing diner awaits for you is the best.The host were very accommodating and prevents you from falling into tourist traps. I will for sure return with my family. Highly recommended

I love them. my experience was incredible in happy guest house, i stay there 1 week, travelling alone, and everything was perfect. My room (suite one) had an incredible view, large and silent. Sabrina and JP were great, i had an operation on my last day there in the hospital and they come to visit me at the hospital too !

The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. The room is nice and very clean, the view from the balcony was beautiful. It is in a very good location, there is a big supermarket nearby and quite a few restaurants. Le Morne beach is only 5 minutes by car, perfect for exploring the southern part. The breakfast was amazing!!!
