United KingdomThe food was not up to the price we paid for a 4-star hotel. No grill unless you have booked in advance in a different restaurant and advised the restaurant in advance that you want calamari, prawns, and the rest for it together, and prepare until you arrive. We were not informed how to proceed on this besides booking for a restaurant outside the main restaurant. I am very disappointed with the Turkish restaurant. As I couldn't have any grill. As you are on the island, you re expected Sea Food every day. Staff was lovely in the Turkish restaurant, but the booking system needed a review . Cleaners for the rooms need to clean the jacuzzi every day,don't just until the client is gone,was disappointed not to see it clean after the first day of used. Aqua Land This was closed on Wednesday. I was very disappointed for my kids ,as we arrived on Tuesday at 3 pm and they waited until Thursday morning at 10 am before leaving to use the facility. As it said, close every Wednesday .This needs a review. The staff in Aqua Labd was amazing. HAT'S OFF keep the good work to all the staff in the hotel .
The staff are so lovely , I was a bit worried before going there,they are so helpful welcoming aswell. The heated pool was nice, clean, and bright. The room was facing the sea and the pool. The receptionist was great cleaners, and the waiter's amazing people. Hat's off to you all. Zacuzi in the bedroom was a bonus,which we didn't expect. The veranda is cosy and comfortable . Nice for a couple with children's.

The resort was nice most of the staff were pleasant. The beach was very nice. The taxis were all clean and the drivers friendly and helpful. A big plus to the person who organised the taxis

MauritiusWe booked 4 rooms and the stay was an absolute mess. 1. one of the rooms was infested with buds and a cockroach landed up on our toddler of 23 months while she was sleeping. 2. Another room's water pipe broke (at night), the whole room was a mess, not a single soul came to our rescue. our luggage got damaged. 3. One of the guests suffered from itch and rashes all over his body. 4. one of the rooms was not cleaned. We could know from the perspiration odour arising from the pillows and bedsheets. 5. The food environment is not hygenic as well. you can see flies and birds attending to the foods exposed unattended. one of the guests suffered from colic. another guest got a bunch of hair in his food but preferred to leave the table quietly to avoid disrupting the family moment. Overall, I wouldn't suggest someone to pay so much money for such poor conditions. I emailed the hotel and sent letters..but no reply till date!!! I have photos as well.

South AfricaWe were on a family vacation of 4 people. Absolutely zero value for money. The service was dismal, the people at the front desk were of no help when we first arrived. The cleaning team always came at uncomfortable times to clean and when requested they return to clean later, they were a no show. The wifi and internet connection only properly worked at the main bar or at the reception which was highly inconvenient as we would always have to walk from our rooms to the bar or reception to be able to stay in touch with our family. With regards to payment, Booking.com had initially quoted us in Euros with the condition to pay upon arrival at the hotel. When we arrived, we were charged for the same amount but in Pounds.
The only thing worthy of this hotel is the beach.

AustraliaThe TV was not working during our stay even though I have reported this issue to the reception multiple times. "They mentioned it was an internet issue but I checked with the neighbours, their TV was working." For the toilet, the bathroom handle was broken and it kept falling off the door. For the bathroom, the soap was so watery, legit it looks like they just kept adding water to it. I booked 2 rooms, the other room the soap was ok. And again, I reported this issue, they mentioned the maintenance team would come but never show up. (I do appreciate that when I requested for a room on the ground floor because I was on second floors with a baby, they did provide it to me after a few days) For the room, I have reported there were ants all over the floor but they mentioned there is no bug spray which they can use.
Without a second thought, the beach is the selling point.

MauritiusFront office staff lacked serious professional training and knowledge on how to deal/speak to customers and customer queries. For example, (1) their knowledge on hotel activities were non existent, (2) there was no willingness to help but we were rather shut down down by a short and snappy answer and (3) there was confusion on room check out time which our confirmation stated was at 12 but the hotel staff kept insisting it was at 11am (even when we showed them the evidence) The overall common areas, accessories and utensils were deeply out of date and not of hotel quality. For example the napkins at Dinner and the beach towels. Staff around the property were rather not polite and not welcoming (except for the restaurant where the waiters were doing their best). Staff lacked proper cleaning materials. For example, after a table has been used, I witnessed staff "cleaning" the table by dusting the left over food particles on the floor using their bare hands(no cleaning materials used) and replacing the cutlery to serve the next guest to be sat in that table. Housekeeping staffs also lacked cleaning materials. I witnessed a staff with only one dirty and unfunctional mob, a bucket and a very dirty towel for cleaning surfaces. There seemed no cleaning solution used. Even in our room's bath tub, upon arrival, it seemed that this was "cleaned" with a very dirty cloth as there were traces. At night, I witnessed a cleaner just taking water from the main swimming pool, using a very dirty bucket to throw on dust and sand stuck on the sunbed. Overall, the hotel was not worth the price we paid it is misleading as being a four star hotel (staff told us, it was a five star). Food was okayish as we are used to Mauritian flavours but desserts were of very cheap and low quality. Would not recommend Maritim at all! There are much nicer resorts with great staff, service and food in the area, AMBRE resorts for example.

The staff forced us to check out from our rooms at 11hr when it was written noon on the package. And this was communicated to us the next day by a letter.

MauritiusMy room was not that clean, there was a dead cockroach, but we did not raise any issue about this one as it was no big deal. However, the main concern here is the lack of professionalism about some staffs. We were supposed to check out at noon and the FA supervisor was aware of it as he is the one who assisted us. But the staff came to pick up our luggages at 11:30. Again it was no big deal as we informed him to come later as we will check out at noon and he told us to call at the receptionist when we are ready. However, at 11:50, another staff came to pick up our luggages without us informing the receptionist that we are checking out from the room and on top of that he entered the room without even knocking and saw us naked. This was completely unpleasant, unacceptable and unprofessional. We did raise our concerns with the receptionists and they made it seemed like it was not that big deal. Also, at the restaurant, there was a staff constantly verbally abusing others staffs. Might be they were not doing their jobs as should be, not sure but these should not be done in front of clients as we came at your hotel for a relaxing experience, plus seeing other staffs being verbally abused shows lack of mannerisms and respect between your staffs which is not okay at all, especially in this era.
The activities were fun. The staffs at the main restaurant were so welcoming. And there was a variety of options during the buffet.

DenmarkFirst, the staff tried to charge us for a booking that was cancelled in time. They then charged us twice for our stay. I myself had to make the staff aware, that they had charged us too much. I was in contact with the staff 7 times during our stay, due to nothing happened from their side and held several meetings to get our money back, which took Them 14 days. Despite the fact that this problem caused by the staff filled most of our holiday with the family, so we couldn’t relax as planned, the hotel was not willing to compensate us in any way for their mistake. Instead, they kept contacting us and want to talk without having put themselves in the situation and deliberately provided incorrect information, in order to escape from their responsibilities, which I could disprove each time. In other words, they wasted our time, ruined our vacation and still haven’t paid all the costs that they incurred ud. I can definitely not recommend that others to stay among a staff that does not own a spot of morality!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!

DenmarkThey tried to charge me for an old Cancelled booking, which they later admitted was a mistake, but left us like fools one hour in the reception. Afterwards they charged med for the stay two times, so I had to pay double. Afterwards they ment, that they should not pay me back in total, because it was my fould, that that have forgot to put Power on the payment machine. My vacation with my family on Mauritius should have been a Dream. In stead you made it a Nightmare with scary onreliable staff - STAY AWAY!!!!

United KingdomA few umbrella's around the small heated pool would be ideal, as during the week we were there, none of the loungers had any shade from the sun. But don't take this as an issue, just a suggestion.
Everything about this hotel met or exceeded my expectations. The food was faultless and different every night. The staff went out of their way to sort things for you. The free use of the pedalo and glass bottom boats was a great touch and make for two great mornings out. Everything is nicely spread out without feeling too far away to go to anything. Extra compliments to the Bellevue bar staff who solved the problematic man in the pool on Thursday 28th. It was hugely appreciated by us both. Already looking forward to returning next year, hopefully with more friends and family.
