We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomCompared to other hotels in the same price category, the place looks rather tired and in need of repairs. When paying >130Euros a night, no matter the country, I demand to have a clean bathroom. The mould smell and the shower were not nice. Please make an effort and redo the shower silicon joints properly. I's not difficult, I've done it at home.
Nice breakfast, friendly receptionist. The hotel has private access to a nice beach and even has kayaks. Perfect for exploring the lagoon

SwitzerlandThe bungalow was a good size for a family. But it's the quality of the fittings/tiling/room that are quite poor and why I score this just 7.0. I couldn't help but look on this as a missed opportunity - invest in renovating the bathrooms & bedrooms, and you'd have a boutique 4-star resort.
The beach is simply stunning. Walk about 10 metres and you're snorkelling in coral. The staff we met (receptionist, room-cleaning, security) were fantastic - very proactive, courteous, helpful - they deserve a special shout-out.

United KingdomIt seems like the owner is just milking this place for as much cash as possible. The food apart from the continental breakfast, which was average, was too expensive for us to even try. There were no discounts offered for kids and it was a set fee of 1500. We went down the road to the lively Blue Bamboo a short walk away and had 3 courses of amazing food for half the price. The pizzas are amazing. We had the bungalow. Whoever they got to paint it needs glasses or should try a new career. No attempt at a good job, whitewashing tiles is not a good idea, the TV unit was also whitewashed and falling to bits.There was paint on the blinds and patchy all over especially the bathroom. The bathroom needs a big update. I'm not sure why the water smells chlorinated. We stayed in places across Mauritius and never smelt water like this. Boiled it tasted bad so we didn't have tea or coffee. Selling only 700ml bottles of water and pricing them so high is a rip off when it's so hot. There weren't enough sun loungers and one is all ripped up. Not sure why it would be left on the beach like that. Conclusion is the location carries this place. If the owner put his hand in his pocket and invested some cash and offered better value food this could easily be a 9.
They have a great location here and an opportunity for a nice little hotel. They also have friendly staff, we were served buy a lovely man and woman at breakfast. There is a small beach right in front, great sunrise views and easy access walks along the beach to the main beaches but we thought our small one was fine. Like others said there is good snorkeling, its windy but we didn't mind this.

MauritiusNo door mat to wipe wet or sandy feet before entering room. Missing a piece of furniture in the bathroom to place toiletries. Tables could have been pre-set at breakfast for those taking that option and the buffet could have been a bit more tempting with healthier choices and more attentive service from the breakfast staff.
Loved that we didn't have to wheel our suitcases very far to reach the room and that the beach was right on our doorstep. The room was large and comfortable, all that was missing was a door mat or place to wash the sand off before entering the room. The restaurant was very pleasant, great view. Breakfast could have been a bit better with healthier options and more attentive service.

This is an old hotel with old furniture, keep this in mind. The cleanliness was not very good, but the sheets on the bed were ok. We had just a night here so overall it was ok for a short stay.

South AfricaSomehow I thought there was a pool. Clear more beach so that there is more space. Don't let non-guests take up all the sun loungers. Try to improve the water pressure; I couldn't wash my hair. Some meals were fantastic, others were not great.
The staff were just lovely. The rooms were fantastic. The food was okay.

PortugalI did not like the electrical shower which did not work well, the access to the beach in the front was broken it can be repaired, there was a sewerage issue from the back of the kitchen which made it difficult to walk in the back to the beach.The breakfast could be better. The blanket in the bedroom smelled so bad it had to be changed.
The location is marvelous and the staff very nice always accomodating the guests and the food was very good for supper.

The location was amazing, a step down the path and you were on your little private beach. we only stayed 2 nights and arrived late the first night so We didn’t have much time to appreciate the place as much as we could have. The dinner we had the first night was very authentic Mauritian cuisine which was one of the better meals that we had the whole of our stay in Mauritius so kudos to the chef. The rooms were clean enough and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with our queries and also cooked our meals after hours that first night.. thank you for that guys x

MauritiusThe whole property needs total renovation. It’s looking tired! Food was very average. Late check out was expensive. Staff were very pleasant but sometimes not very efficient. The Holiday Inn connection is an issue for a boutique hotel. When I arrived, reception was FULL of HI clients waiting to go back to their hotel. My hope was to get away from people, not be inundated with them from another hotel. It might make sense financially, but certainly not for guests of Astroea.
