I really enjoyed my stay. A very rich and good breakfast, free bikes to borrow and a very good location. The owner was always very helpful and friendly. We recommend.

The staff are absolutely wonderfull. Helpful and always with a smile. The room was huge and spacious and the bed comfortable. On my last day the lovely owner made me a hamburger before my flight back to Yangon. Breakfast was perfect and abundance and gets you through the whole day. Also it is near the jetties for the Inle lake starting point on the boats. Good shops around and restaurants. Markets close by. You must try the winery!!!! Well worth the visit. Thank you to everyone at the Sandalwood Hotel….

Wow, what a great hotel! Where do I begin? - The room - spacious and clean (they clean it every day + folding your cloths...), big and bright bathroom, bottles of water renewed every day, a kettle, safe box and tvt - The unbelievable generous breakfast - great selection - you will not be able to finish it. - The location - less then one minuet from the river, where the boat takes you to Inle lake. Also 3 minuets walk to the night market - Huge beautiful public balcony with a great evening breeze - The family that runs the hotel - unbelievable people - they will take care of you in such a gentle way. They found out I love coffee - so every day they would make me a pot of a filtered coffee and bring it to my room, long after breakfast. - Reservation - they can book a boat trip to the lake, a car+ driver to take you around, and bus tickets to Bagan, Mandalay, etc. - Atmosphere - relaxed, welcoming, Wonderful. Thank you Nway Nway and her family - you are Wonderful :)

I was very impressed about price/quality of this hotel. Very comfortable, clean and good furnishings rooms with ful bathl set, clean towels, comfort bed and pillows, safe box, tv and internet. Very, very, very exelent breakfast!!! And 1000% kind owner and her family! You can buy at this hotel boat tour to the lake, rent a bicycle, buy bus tickets, and use laundry. From the terrace very nice view to the sunset. Hotel located on the quiet street near the river, night market, and some restaurants. I was totally satisfied to stay in this hotel. Thank you very much!)))

I love this place! I can't believe the price. The hotel is new. Room is clean and big. Breakfast was excellent. What can you ask for more? And they rent you bicycles for free!

Owner is just amazing, she will make sure you feel comfortable. Everything prepared in the room, around the place - for you. She even cooked for me the lunch box for my bus from Inle to Bagan.

Truly welcoming hosts . The property is beautifully furnished with attractive features throughout. The room was a very good size for a single and excellent value . The breakfast is almost a banquet. Onward travel and sightseeing trips can be booked directly with the hotel . As there is so much to see on the lake I took 2 trips , it’s an amazing place , full of daily activity from fishermen casting there nets to people tending the floating gardens and given the current political situation there are very few tourists . Their are no security issues in the area ,it is open and waiting to be discovered . The town has many hotels standing empty , when the situation improves you are likely to regret not having visited when Inle lake was at its purist .

Nice hotel with access almost to the boat station. Large rooms, hot showers, clean, towels changed and cleaning every day. A very hospitable hostess, she speaks English, helped us organize everything we wanted to do on the lake for very good money. She bought bus tickets, despite the evening time, arranged a transfer from the hotel, rented a boat on the lake and a car to Kakku Pagoda. Very tasty breakfasts with fruit and homemade banana muffins, and she also treated us to dinner. When we went for a walk at night (and the streets in the town are not illuminated after sunset), we were given a large lantern for convenience. We felt welcome and were very pleased with our choice of this hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

We felt like at home. The owner Nway Nway - caring and helpful. The staff was very friendly and kind. Delicious breakfast (pancakes, toasts, fresh fruits and yummy homemade pineapple jam). Room spacious and clean. Finally, a quick note for those who are wondering whether to go to Myanmar or not.. My advice - go. We were there several times and we have never felt unsafe. And remember: your arrival can help many ordinary people to survive during these difficult times

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were so attentive and kind; the owner is so sweet. The breakfast was so delicious- dishes kept coming out. The banana pancakes were amazing. The location was good. Close enough to walk along the river or to get to restaurants or little convenience stores. We highly recommend this hotel.

The kindness , efficiency & comfort that I’ve found in this hotel really made me feel at home . Lots of space , great shower and air conditioning Breakfast is simply amazing , a very good one plus everyday is also different They offered me a delicious dinner because I stayed more than 3 nights , a detail that’s not usual anywhere ( check the picture 😋 ) They organised the boat on Inle lake with an affordable price , book my bus tickets to continue my trip and whatever I needed was fixed by the very kind Nwe ( owner ) , I’ll always come back 👌

From the first moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the Owner with cool drinks & later on tea which was lovely . We had travelled with an elderly relative & the caring staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable & as pleasant as they could for us. They were especially attentive to our elderly relatives needs ,which we really appreciated . We had a wonderful time in Naungshwe ! The Lake tour by boat being the absolute highlight which had also been arranged for us by the Owner ..As one of the first guests to arrive this season we were treated to a complimentary dinner after our return from our boat trip..what a lovely thing to do ! We really appreciated their kind spirit . The Owner´s sunny disposition & her nothing being too much to help attitude made our stay at the Sandalwood Hotel a complete joy. The location was perfect ,walking distance to the local shops & market as well as to the jetty for lake trips. We would definitely recommend the Sandalwood & without hesitation stay there again when we next visit .It was a real pleasure ! We also really appreciated being able to benefit from an early check in & a slightly later checkout. We would thoroughly recommend it!
