Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainSince you arrive you feel as someone that they believe has a lot of money and you are just tried to be taken advantage of. Food, breakfast is very expensive. They even organized a new years party for which they tried to make us pay 150.000 Ari!!!! To rent a quad was 300.000 ari - totally out of price here. Apart from that the facilities need an upgrade and a lot more tidiness. Bed line was dirty, bathroom was dirty and the shower even had buckets. Lets bot speak about hot water as that was inexistent! You are in the middle of nowhere so you would expects activities such as yoga to be organised. Well better not to expect that. Overall it clearly seems as what it used to be a good hotel which is not that anymore as it lacks maintenance. Btw it is not two bedrooms with two beds in each room but a bedroom fully packed with two beds and another room for clothes
The location is amazing!

DenmarkStaff is pretty nice, but doesn’t speak a word of English. Very limited hot water (30 seconds max.) A LOT of noise from the outside very early in the morning (4 am) - dogs barking and very noisy birds. You have to order dinner during the day to be able to eat at a reasonable time (we weren’t informed of this) so we waited 40 minutes one evening and 1,5 hours another evening to get our food. Wi-Fi is very bad. Only able to pay with visa card, not Mastercard (we weren’t informed of this), which caused problems at check-out.
Absolutely beautiful outsides. Picture perfect, like living in a postcard. You are able to see whales from the beach. Opportunity to snorkel - bleached corals, but still a little sea life. E.g. a lion fish. Room is fine, with a nice view. Food tastes perfectly fine. Not the best pizza. Sweet dogs.

Switzerland1. Food. Not only does the website say that vegan food is available, which it is not -- except if you consider a diet of potatoes vegan, but also the food is "I just put my ten year old in the kitchen to cook tomato sauce with pasta" - kind of level. It is horrendous for a hotel charging these prices and at 8.6 on Booking. See pictures for a lovely burnt-to-charcoal pizza that was really disgusting. Alone for the disgraceful food, I would recommend you to book a different place. 2. Prices and price contradictions. In the context of Malagasy prices, the rooms in this hotel are excessively expensive for what they are. Further, the food is very expensive for the quality received and the size (we always had to rely on the bread buns served to fill us up and we'd often still be hungry). At breakfast, a crepe was 10'000 Airy, while if you ordered it "not for breakfast", it would cost 15'000 Airy. I had black tea with milk most of the days that we stayed and the final bills once charged 3'000 for the tea, once 4'000 and once 5'000. No consistency whatsoever. On top of that, my friend got black tea without milk, which was cheaper - a hotel in which you pay extra for a shot of milk in your tea?? Really??? 3. All of the things listed on Booking ,such as yoga classes, ping pong -- that did not exist, or at least we did not know of it even though we stayed there for 6 days. 4. Less privacy than the pictures convey. Expect to have a bungalow, but not a "private beach" for yourselves only.
Staff was friendly and the rooms were decent. There are some nice hide-away areas that are beautiful to spend some time at and the free snorkeling is nice.
