How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The place and the location was perfect. Inner yard to park the vehicle, safe door and gate openings. Nice people running the place. Thumbs up!
No breakfast, because I did not ask for it. Otherwise all was fine.

I stayed there for two nights and it was a great place with great service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - close to the university and pedestrian avenue. I 100% recommend the place.

The location was hard to find due to google maps not working, took me an hour to find it, although it is right next to center, it is a bit hidden, avoid google maps, perhaps property can share more details to help foreigners find the spot.
Massive rooms, with all facilities available, private toilet, kitchen, large rooms. Wifi works great, in premise parking was also available with key less entry inside the premise.

didn't look like what I had expected. description makes it seem as if it's an apartment with rooms but it's actually more like a hotel room with a small kitchen near the bed. the "double bed" is actually two twin beds put together so it's hard to sleep in the middle of the bed as the mattresses separate.
--comfortable room and very affordable --short walk to markets and grocery stores --the room has multiple locks so you can almost guarantee your privacy and safety

The check out is at 11:00. We thought it is at 12:00. There was the old woman (not the kind girl we found during the check-in) to presented in our door knocking at 11 :00 and she was angry and has a face broke our stay ... A look from hell. I rated 10/10 this hotel else, for this babushka, i would never hesitate to put her 0/10. Babushka, sorry we made a mistake to stay 10 minutes more ... We left without even good bye.
The girl welcoming you was very professional and very kind. She gave advices which are useful the time that the shop downstairs closes and the restaurant that is just close that is amazing in term of welcome and quality of the service.

A very good place even for a longer stay. Very helpful and nice owner. Very clean and pleasant appartment. Practically the centre of the city, quiet neighbourhood. I recommend.

It wasn't a major problem, but where we stayed, there are only a couple electric plugs of type F and the rest is of type C, so it was very easy to charge our phones, and a bit harder to find how to connect our laptops
We liked everything about our stay at White House apartments and surely it is going to be our destination of choice when we're back in Balti

The staff was very nice and gave me all the necessary information. Clean apartment, silence and comfortable bed. Very near to the center of the city. I would definitely come back to the White House from Balti.

first and foremost - the entire place is newly remodeled , - superior comfort and beauty , all up to date inside and out !!! very well equipped , in the kitchen in the bedrooms in the living room .. these are FIRST CLASS suits,!! not just rooms ,,, huge rooms - beds ... first 2 night i was in a "small" room only 50+ SQM !! i extended another night and was given a bigger room by the tremendous helpful host ...!!!!! to what must be 70-90 SQM suite with huge jaquzzi , stunning equipped kitchen to cook my own food... all in first class style , and helpful crew for the ones who are not fluent in the Russian language - BRAVO and many times again BRAVO.. so kind and time giving crew ,, this is the highest value for money $$$$$$ i ever saw or had A N Y W H E R E !!! -
