Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf I had to add something, local TV was not available!
Well located. Car park had a space each time I needed one! There was an English speaking younger receptionist; when I arrived there was a birthday party going on in the banqueting hall so I asked for their quietest room so she allocated me a room on the top floor out the back and I heard nothing. The rooms at the front have balconies and you can see the river from there! Were willing to accept payment in US dollars or euros but had already exchanged rubles. At checkout they did a check that I’d taken home my passport/goods/phone charger etc! The Georgian restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent and they made the best Kir Royales I’d had.

ItalyThe first room we were given smelt of cigarette smoke so we changed room. WiFi signal was not very good. Tv is connected to the WiFi as it has no tv channels but as The signal is not good it’s impossible to watch something on Netflix on YouTube
Right in the centre of Tiraspol close to everything. Nice view of the river from the room. Nice modern clean room & good value for money.

MoldovaThere was a party, that didn't follow with fire safety and their activity set off the alarm. Funny in retrospect, too loud in real time. Happy, that the system is operational though.
This is my second stay here, and it's very comfortable in all regards. The staff is wonderful!

NetherlandsOnly one staff member speaks English. Breakfast can be had in the old-school breakfast room.
I am pleasantly surprised by the Park Hotel, which I found to be a recently and thoroughly renovated hotel with a modern interior and very good amenities, including a secure WiFi signal. I got a spotlessly clean and tidy room with a very comfortable double bed, air-conditioning and a balcony overlooking the river, which was perfect to watch the sunset. Thanks to the very central location in Tiraspol, everything can be easily reached on foot. There are a lovely Georgian restaurant next-door, a Sheriff supermarket with a currency exchange booth at a few minutes’ walk as well as a city beach across the river. Recommendable to adventurous solo-travellers and couples who enjoy visiting off-the-beaten-track destinations and prefer to stay in a modern hotel. I found Tiraspol to be safe, quiet and cheap.

United KingdomWould have been nice to have an information pack in the room.
Located overlooking the river to the front, with it's beautiful, wide and quiet promenade, from which you can walk directly into the serene Ekaterine II park. To the rear, more functional, with the main boulevard just a 2 minute walk away. Even though my room was at the "busier" rear of the hotel I didn't hear a sound from outside. And a word for the staff: I was able to communicate in english with all the staff, they were friendly and very helpful. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

United KingdomThe TV did not show local channels with the message 'no signal' when I tried to watch normal TV maybe it was just my TV. However it is a smart TV so you can connect your phone or use the apps on the TV to watch YouTube/Netflix etc which worked perfectly.
Great location, clean and modern, fantastic balcony with a lovely view of the river and the bridge which is lit up in the PMR colours at night. Friendly professional staff who spoke good English and good free WiFi.

United KingdomBathroom sink had a plumbing issue and leaked a bit. You can only pay in cash, reception wanted me to do this before I checked in so I had to go the supermarket with my bags and exchange some currency.
Great location, right next to the river and park, in the centre of the city near all the sights. Supermarket just around the corner which also offers currency exchange, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Room was quiet and comfortable, air conditioning was good. Staff friendly, though limited English spoken.

United StatesWhat a great place to stay! Right next to the beautiful city park, easy walking distance to the major sites. A very modern hotel with large comfortable rooms. The staff is quite attentive. The Georgian restaurant next to the hotel is great, but there are other places nearby. The one thing to be aware of is that, like other places in Tiraspol, cash only. But it is worth brining the cash.
