Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRiad Yamina is fantastic and soon to be even better with their planned extension. The breakfast is a great start to the day and it’s just off the best market areas. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - organising a taxi through them for arrival/departure is a must as it makes the journey from the airport so much easier. I’d also recommend getting dinner in the Riad on the first night!

United KingdomNothing - all perfect
Riad yamina exceeded all expectations. The setting is stunning, the staff were incredible and it was beautifully traditional. I stayed at another riad toward the end of my trip which was more expensive but regretted not coming back to Yamina! It was one of the best places I’ve stayed. Location was safe and central to get around and it was perfect. Couldn’t recommend more.

United StatesI would change nothing: this Riad and their service couldn't have been better. Comments about Marrakesh in general....Just be prepared for the market...the vendors can be very aggressive. We had to learn fast. Again, depend upon Moha to guide you in how to shop. Offer half what is requested and be willing to walk away. The vendors make sure that they make a profit and will ultimately tell you or will let you walk away. A win, win, for all.
This Riad was AMAZING! Magical. The decor was a beautiful representation of Moroccan design and architecture - absolutely stunning. We did not want some cookie-cutter hotel experience; we wanted to experience the local culture. The location was great. You don't want to stay right at the market...too noisy. This was just far enough away for peace and quite, yet a short walk to the market. The breakfast was authentic Moroccan food - delicious. The host, Moha, and staff were first rate; gracious, helpful, and totally accommodating. Don't be shy to ask for help or to learn: how to get around, where to shop, customs, how to negotiate, where to eat and not to eat (many foreigners get sick from eating at the local food stands). They made restaurant recommendations and reservations. We were offered hugs upon departure, which we readily participated in. When we left, they arranged for the taxi and physically escorted us (carrying luggage) a distance to the cab.

United Arab EmiratesLocation. Inside the Medina and every time one has to cross Jema el Fenna. Was disappointed by pickup and drop service arranged through the Riad. Had an early morning flight and cars are allowed upto the Jemma El Fenn square but we had to walk about 800 mtrs.
Very tastefully done riad. Beautiful interiors and comfortable stay.

DenmarkThe riad Yamina is stunningly beautiful and the staff is very helpful. Moha, Madi and Mustafa did everything to accomodate anything from gluten free breakfast to picking us up from the taxi (that cannot drive into the old medina after 1 pm). I was travelling alone with my youngest daughter, 7 years old and she had a great introduction to Marrakech.

United KingdomLike all central locations, you could occasionally hear some noise and the design of Riads means that if there was entertaining you could also hear noise from other guests.
The Riad was an oasis of calm but very close to the Medina and the centre of the city.Very well kept with excellent and friendly staff.

Amazing hospitality at Riad Yamina! The hosts and chefs were very welcoming and attended to our needs wholly. They were helpful when we asked questions and made sure we had a great stay. It was also located at a good distance away from the Jemaa el fna, so the accommodation was quiet. It was a central location nonetheless as it was about a 6 minutes walk to the center.

The staff were absolutely delightful and couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive. The Riad is beautifully decorated and furnished. The breakfast was generous and changed every day so we could try all sorts of local specialities. We dined in several times and they were amongst the best meals we had in Marrakech.

United KingdomIt is an ex house after all, so you can hear people chatting downstairs while having breakfast or dishes being washed in the kitchen (from our room, however there is a second part of the Riad which I think is quieter) - this wasn’t really a problem for us, most guest were quite respectful and speaking quietly but be aware that you can hear people’s chit chat. The Riad is almost at the end of a residential street where kids like to play and kick ball, so be careful of not getting in their way otherwise you might get hit. The only thing we didn’t like was bathroom ’door’ in our room : it was more like a wooden room decider, like a trellis, so you could actually hear and see everything that was happening in the bathroom, so there wasn’t much privacy.
The staff was super friendly, picked us up from our taxi drop off on the first day and highlighted some key landmarks for us to remember so we wouldn’t get lost. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay, so many delicious options: breads, cake, pastries, yogurt, fruit, jams. We got asked in the first day what we like to drink (tea/coffe) and the team remembered that for the rest of the stay and greeted us the following morning with our drinks already prepared, which was very nice. Room gets cleaned, tidied up and towels changed on a daily basis. The location is great, only 5/10 minute walk from the main square and not too far from the street market. The team also can organise trips, transfers and guides for you. We asked them to book a guide for us that would show us around on the first day and that was super helpful as they meet you at the Riad and took us around town and some key landmarks. The view of the main area was stunning with the pool and trees. In the mornings little bird would sneak in through the roof and wanted around while you were having breakfast, so cute!

United StatesHard beds. Not quite the "Wow factor" that some of the other riads have.
Lovely riad tucked back into a quiet, residential area that is about a 10-minute walk from Place Jemaa El Fna. We've stayed in numerous Marrkesh riads throughout the last several years and we would rate most of those higher than Riad Yamina. There just isn't quite the attention to detail that you can find in other riads and the staff was just "okay." That being said, it was still a lovely stay. The bed was extremely firm and some may find that problematic. The tagine we were served at night was one of the best we've had in Morocco! Overall, not a bad place to stay in the medina of Marrakesh!

The Riad was absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast was huge and very delicious. We ordered drinks every evening and had them on the terrace which was lovely it was around 40DH for a beer or glass of wine and you got nuts too. Location was great, on a nice quiet street but very close to the souks and Jemeer El Fna. The room was beautiful and cleaned every day. I would highly recommend this riad.
