Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germanythe dinner booked in the riad was below expectations and quite expensive if u compare to other options in the city. keep in mind that this riad is a bit further from the touristic streets so u can feel a bit less safe at night, specially if you are traveling alone

GermanyBreakfast in the Riad was great-a mix of traditional local and continantal food, coffee, Team, fresh orange juice... really great! The Riad is located in the old Medina, but once you know your way, there won't be big problems. The people in the Riad are very friendly and helpful. They organized us taxis from/ to the station/ the airport and for day trips as well as a guide for a tour through the old city. Absolutely recommendable!

The Riad was wonderful and very spacious but what made this place so special were the people that ran it. They made us feel so safe and were so friendly and kind. They walked us to the taxi to make sure we got the local price and whenever we went on a tour they took the name of the tour guide to make sure we were safe and felt comfortable. If I came back I would book this Riad over all other properties. The location was amazing it was just off the main two roads in the Medina. thank you Dar Tahri for the wonderful care!

United States- Breakfast could be a little bit better. - The tour guide (Adam) that is recommended by the Riad for a tour of Fes (Panoramic / Cultural / Both) is not good. He does not manage time well and is only looking to make commission commission and more commission on all the things you buy. I realized that later and did not like it at all, because when you hire a tour guide, you expect him to look out for you, and not just himself. So be careful while booking any tours with this property.
The location of this property is good and the room is big and super comfortable. The riad itself is also beautiful with good views from the terrace. The room itself was big, clean and comfortable. I had a huge bed (and an extra one too) which was comfortable and I slept well. AC and a mini fridge is available in case you want to store food, and a living room area with sofas. It was cleared every day. Aziz is a very nice and kind person. He helped me by contacting my airline for my lost bags and even woke up at 5:30am to take me to the taxi stand so I could get to the train station. He was always there to help me with whatever I needed and I am so grateful for the hospitality.

Australiaif you arrange a taxi through the riad, to be collected from train station etc.. make sure you know EXACTLY where to wait for collection. We thought we did the right thing walking to the collection zone while the driver waited elsewhere. Eventually found each other 20 mins later, moments before we were about to take another taxi.
Good value for money. Huge room. Spotlessly clean. Great position.

Excellent location, the Riad itself was very nice and quiet, with a very good terrace overlooking the medina. The room was excellent, very big. Breakfast was very good, almost as a brunch. We took it in the terrace, it is worthwhile. Aziz was very friendly and helpful, as well as the rest of the staff. The stay was wonderful, would go back again for sure.

United KingdomThe steps were of different heights and sometimes quite high. That was a bit hard to climb with ease sometimes. The rooms tended to be dark, but I think that is deliberate because the sun can be very hot. Darkness keep the rooms cool.
Breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the old historic 9th century Medina of Fes was amazing! The rooms were designed in classic style, very spacious, with high wooden doors. The location in the heart of the old Medina within walking distance to shops, Hammam Mernissi where we treated ourselves to a relaxing massage and Bab Sahra Restaurant where we attended a cooking class on how to make Lemon Chicken Tagine. Aziz, the manager, was very kind and attentive and made sure we got what we wanted.

MalaysiaIt was a great experience staying in Riad Dar Tahri. Having this opportunity to feel the real Morrocan riad was the hightlight of our Morrocan trip. The interior of the riad is superb, showcasing the traditional Moroccan riad. The breakfast on the terrace was superb too. The staffs, Abdul Aziz and the ladies, were helpful. Abdul Aziz took his time to show us around the medina and helped us to buy a morrocan carpet at a discounted price.
