How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The street is very noise and the neighbourhood is not nice, but it's ok.
The room was clean, nice bed and shower, have everything that we needed for one night.

We didn't have much of a view. Also, the bathroom fans continue running for a period of time after the light switch is off.
The room was clean and spacious for our needs.

The district is somewhat noisy, with loud shouts in the middle of the night, and a bit dirty. But in 3-4 blocks situation is changing, so it's not a big deal.
Suite is a good value for money, personnel were also very polite. Rooms itself are pretty good.

The reception staff is very rude and not helpful. The reception works in weird hours and not the one indicated on the website/in the hotel. The hotel is located close to the main station but the street is full of bars/clubs and drunk/drug addicts. It was very loud from the construction located close to the hotel and planes landing in the local airport.
It is close to the main station. The room was spacious, clean and had all necessary equipment.

The location is the typical neighborhood near the central train station. Not very nice and a bit loud, but quite practical location wise.
Very comfortable room with nice basic commodities. Very clean and quick and easy check in and out.

We would have loved some creamers for the coffee (even powdered) but we ended up grabbing extra from a coffee shop for the other days. The shower isn't really separate from the room so make sure you are comfortable with your friends ;) Also the air conditioner's light is SO BRIGHT that even turned off it illuminated the whole room at night. We ended up putting a towel over it to sleep.
Receptionist was extremely nice, helpful, and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable and an easy walk to the city. The mini fridge came in handy for snacks and leftovers.

The air conditioner didn’t work properly, we had it in 18 and it was very hot, I woke up many times in the night because I was sweating.
Location and facilities are good, and the woman in the reception is super friendly

The street in which the hotel was located was not that nice, although it was close to the station. There were a lot of drug addicts near the hotel which made it sometimes a little bit uncomfortable and unsafe.
The room itself was very nice. It was really clean and the bed was very comfortable. Additionally, the hotel was located really close to the station which was nice if we wanted to travel somewhere.

Friendly staff granted a warm welcome. Hotel has a nice location, near by the train station and by the city! I had two comfy nights :) Modern and fancy themed!

The area around the hotel was sketchy. It is located near the train station so is good for transport but not the safest.
Staff are lovely and will answer any questions you have.Room is comfortable and has a small fridge and a kettle!

Didn't like having breakfast outside the hotel building. Once outside, you can choose where to eat.

The hotel is located near the train station, in an area with a lot of night clubs and not so clean people. But we didn't have any problems, and everything was ok
Though the area is dodgy, we had a pleasant and safe stay there.

It is located in the central station area, so it was close to public transportation and easy to get there, but the people hanging out on the streets are a bit shady or pushy..

Staff is very friendly. There were complimentary slippers and earplugs in the room. Much appreciated even if I did not use the earplugs. Street noice not that bad.

The location is conveniently located near the main station and public transport (tram, buses). The street is not the best and a bit noisy during the evening. This didnt affect our sleep though.
Clean and spacious room. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and especially the kind and service minded staff.

The area around the hotel has a bad vibe in the evening.

The breakfast option was a five minute walk away across a busy road junction to a nice bar inside the main station, despite advertising a breakfast bar on site. (This appeared to be a pizza restaurant which wasn't open in the mornings. Area outside is rather sleazy- strip clubs etc, but seemed safe enough when we were in and out.
Convenient location for the station and a reasonable price for Luxembourg. Everything clean and working. Quirky alien invasion artwork and silver walls. Handy mini supermarket a couple of doors down for emergency breakfast bits.

Our room was facing the street and we could hear the noise from it even when the windows and windowblinds were closed.
The hotel is located very close to the city centre and the railway station. The room and the hallways were designed nicely. We had a kettle, a little fridge and a safety deposit box in the room.

Not at a nice neighbourhood. Can feel there are a lot of activities going on. A lot of people standing around the streets the whole day and night solicitating.
Spacious room, fully equipped. Bathroom is big and water pressure is good. Location is good, very near to train station and many restaurants near by.
