The fact that we couldn't charge our phones in the room, apparently we needed to activate a switch. Not such an inconvenience, more something to mention to the guests.

It definitely needs a renovation......everything's pretty worn. For the moment it's still charming, but within a year or two it will tip over the line to just being old.

It's got that whole faded elegance/shabby genteel thing going on. Quite faded indeed, but still on the acceptable side of the line. HUGE room and bathroom.

Not safe (no cameras, and let's just say there should have been). Things can happen everywhere, but staff was unhelpful and not sympathetic to the situation.

Although my booking said check in was from 2pm, when we arrived we were told it was 2:30 pm. It wasn't a problem as they stored our luggage, but it would have been better to have the correct time.

The location is fabulous, so close to everything. Very easy to find. The room was spacious and had lovely little extras that we weren't expecting. The staff are helpful and friendly. The decor was very tasteful.

Hotel very dated, still nice but has a 70s feel, some floors have been refurbished some haven't, bit of a throwback, and quite expensive too but for location you pay bit more. Apparently 4* I suggest that's 1* to many.

Location was amazing, city centre and the valley was just minutes away. Perfect.

There seems to be no insulation, thus all outdoor noises were very disturbing even with closed windows. It can be a challenge in summer.

The hotel is really in the middle of the city, great for long walks even in the evening. I can only talk in superlatives about the breakfast: lots of fruits, cheese, meat, great scrambled eggs and coffee. My bed was really comfortable. The rooms is super clean.

Location is really great, at the centre of the city, original hotel feels like home getting back to my grandparents’ - love it. This is a true 4 stars hotel, unlike the new ones where they claim 4 starts but doesn’t even have the basic facilities and services. This one is a true 4 stars hotel

Small stuff: Noise from the street (you have to keep windows open to manage temperature) and the breakfast could have more oatmeal and coffee options.

Quite a distance to the bus stop when going to back to the station.

This is a hotel where the time stopped 60 years ago. But in a good sense, it is not very worn down but everthing looks pretty much like the 1960's. Quite nice as a change. And a nice bar! A fantastic view from some rooms. Easy to reach by bus from the station.

The bedding was comfortable. It's also quite nosy. Stuff is not very friendly and welcoming, but the barnen is trying his best :)

Hot shower water can take quite a while to arrive- one must leave it running for several minutes

We enjoyed the “faded grandeur” and olde worlde elements that make this a much more charming choice than many. Excellent ( & very affordable ) breakfast in a great old dining room - do choose it, if only for this. Very comfortable bed, pleasant staff and a great location.
